I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

This is not stem cell educator therapy

Any suggestions what to add to the Xeljanz protocol?

Plaquenil?
Follic acid
Biotin?
All of the above?

I still have a lot of prednisolone by the way. Would a kickstart with 150mg prednisolone be a stupid idea?

I would NOT add Prednisone to your protocol. Xeljanz will already be suppressing your immune system and adding  prednisone would lower immune system even more which could really be dangerous.

Ujjain, my doctor added 3 doses of 300mg of prednisone every 4 weeks. I didnt feel great at my first dose, but I recently took the second dose and I was fine. I have one dose left for mid Feb. and I'll see him again in March. I had to go for lab work to make sure all was fine. Make sure that whatever you take you're getting checked by a doctor.
Biotin should be fine, but if you're just starting on Xeljanz I think you shouldn't add anything else to it.
All of the above and below, lol! Go Ujjain go!

i would add topical minoxidil 5%

Thanks, all good tips, will do that :)

To everybody show his to your dermatologists this is the remedy! Made the nescessaire to put the pressure so that it breaks the silence it is necessary to stop with this shit xeljanz or other bullshit he does not make noise because this is not American because we know that the Americans want the monopoly of all the money kill the man for the diseases it is a business thus if that brings back no money he messes it

I genuinely hope I am not offending or disheartening people who are embarking on the xeljanz journey but I have to say I totally agree with Kevin. This xeljanz product (even though it has shown some moderate results) is not exactly practical long term. There are sadly issues regarding price/unknown side effects/long term effectiveness/and most importantly availability. When I read on this forum that it was $2700 for 60 tablets I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Even €600 for the same product in Turkey !!!!!!! is an outrageous price demand and highlights Kevins claim of profiteering by big pharma.  I for one will be holding out for this stem-cell option and will travel to China if its viable to do so. Prices of flights to China work out at €500 from Europe which is less than the price of one box of tablets!!!!

I do not consider xeljanz because yes I would be to take him if it is not feasible still for the stem cells of the Educator even if it is 50000 DOLLAR I would make him seen that it is long-term without side effects

But I find that xeljanz miracle does too much for so not much result on her I have the impression that she is paid by same Pfizer Inc Lol I when I was under treatment with methotrexate and prednisone I was 70 % of my hair annoy eyebrows but everything fell again

Folks, let's keep this thread focused on Xeljanz as was originally intended. Please post anything related to the topic of Stem Cell Educator therapy here instead:
