Xeljanz (Tofacitinib Citrate): My experience on the trial
I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.
I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.
Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.
The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.
I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

A person has 2 opportunities or continue to pay 3500 for a drougs that in Turkey sell for 500 doll and help this company and the men and women that pump it or buy in these sites (in the ones have better reports) and go to a quimical study to see if the molecol is the same... if it's so, good, he is paying a lot of less for identical products, if it not same he must contact alibaba amazon or other links where this company sell and denunce it's like a fraud, but for all company i contacted i read a lot of good comments from all worllds so in my opinion, it's very difficoult they are selling not same molecol, best regards.

We just make the analysis the product is real no a fraud and i'm not promoting nothing cause i have not put name only i put the real cost of this molecol that in all world they let pay 500 times more of the real cost. But we must help here not attack us to me the important is have back my hairs and help peopel that can not pay let them know the solution cost 500 less respect to prices they make in USA...

Hi again,
So I have been on Xeljanz for a little over 2 months (2 pills a day). Very little progress, a lot of fine white vellus hair all over my head. I've been given the green light by my Doctor to take 3 pills a day. Is is best to take 2 together in the morning and 1 at night? Or spread out all 3?
Looking for advise from those who are on 3-a-day that are having positive progress. Thanks!

Keithm15, I typed a reply and was adding pictures to it when it disappeared. But here's what you need to know right now. I take 3 a day: Morning, afternoon and evening. You are welcome Keithm15. Did you get your other $4,000 worth of free Xeljanz? Because the co-pay card gives $12,000 worth this year instead of $8,000. Also, you have to call Xelsource to check on the status of your Hardship Program application. Make sure they have everything they need because they were having problems with their fax server. So if they say they still need something ask for their mailing address and MAIL it instead. You have to stay on top of them.
