I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

Cute Sadele, and your daughter too. Are you the same person that sent your husband to Mexico City to pick up the Xeljanz? We couldn't figure out why it was available there but not available in Tijuana. Maybe different Mexico states have different laws?
It was Mexico City. There is a pharmacy that sells Xeljanz. I purchased it back in Novemeber, I got 4 months worth of medication for $3,000. Unfortunately, I had another member contact me and I gave them the pharmacist information and he no longer works there.. I don't know what happened or if I got shady medication... I don't want to give details and have people think it's legit if it's not. I certainly thought it was and paid good money, but the medication has been taken long ago.
I have major "trust" issues with pharmacy companies.. So it's no doubt I'm pessimistic. Anyways... I'm ranting.. If your friend wants to contact me, please let them know I'm very honest about my experience.
My AU friend was coming to California and we were going to drive down to Tijuana to get them some discounted Xeljanz. But they are not coming now. Plus, someone else who already went down for a wedding couldn't find a pharmacy in Tijuana that sells it. I hope the "Mexico City" Xeljanz wasn't bogus. That could be why it took so long for your eyelashes and brows to kick in. At any rate, the Xeljanz that's in your system now is working and I'm happy for you!
Hey Sadele, how did the visit with Dr. King go today? I'm sure everyone wants to know the answers to their questions, lol!
Where did you purchase that wig it looks great

Wonderful  regrowth ...you are in 90% ...

Beautiful! If your not giving up either am I! Nicolas Baricitinib will probably be the most affordable (hopefully)
I had a stylist cut and color this wig! It's real human hair and it was a natural blonde that I didn't like.. She darkened it and cut bangs. I felt much more comfortable it this way :)
Who is it by. (The wig)
I'm not just saying it to say it - but that wig seriously looks amazing! I wish mine looked that good. Unfortunately though, no matter how good it looks we always want back our old hair. I am sure you can't wait for the day to be wig free. I think about you often and have faith that one day you'll be posting a pic of your beautiful short cut! Let us know what dr King says about other jak inhibitors and the availability of them.
