I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.
I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.
Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.
The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.
I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

I have a question for everyone I have been on Zeljanz for 10 months I was seeing great results. I was so happy. Just last month the pharmacy called said they would not renew my prescription. We have argued and gone through 2 appeals. My derm has even spoke to them. I started with the card from Phizor. Some where down the line my insurance started to pick up some of the cost. I still have moneys on the card but can't get the prescription filled. I'm feeling really sad and started to have spots again. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Anything would help. Thanks
The pharmacy has my card. They say that my insurance company has to approve it first. I tried to explain to them that I have the Phizor card they said I still need approval from my insurance.
Quick question do you think I should try to talk with Phizor and explain the problem or just say I lost the card and do what u said.
Hey guys, would it be a bad idea to get "Tofacitinib Citrate" from a source like Alibaba.com? I'd post a link here but I'm not sure if that's allowed. I've spoken to a few of the sellers on there and they quote ~$35/gram. Since Xeljanz is a 5mg pill, I figured 5g ( which happens to be the minimum order quantity ) would last a year at least ( 5mg X 2 times a day X 30days X 12months = 3600mg ). At a fraction of the cost.
What do y'all think? I am pretty desperate, tbh.
Also, I understand that this discussion is mainly for those taking Xeljanz, I am sorry for hijacking this thread, but I'm not sure where else to ask. Thanks.
THE THING is transform it in pills or better in cream i contacted them before and they said me they could make it then i wrote here this thing to help other people and a person of this forum contacted them and worried them so they said me they could not make...the bad thing in this forum there is a girl that has economic interest whit xelijanz, also sell pills to European people (1800 doll for 2 bottles that she has free )...so for this egoistic person is impossible have baricitinib or tofacitinib in the correct for from alibaba ...
