I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

Just wondering if anyone buying Xeljanz in Turkey have had any issues bringing it back to their own country thru customs

Hello Peachfuzz,
My parents bought Xeljanz in Turkey and brought it back to Kuwait, where we live. They had no issues with customs whatsoever.

Five weeks on Xeljanz... nothing yet :(

Does anyone know a doctor in Washington DC area that prescribes Xeljanz?

hi everyone

do you think guys that normal?
what you think??
maybe i have to up my dose 4 pills ?
my eyelashes and brows are annoyed me
thank you
and i wish all respond me as soon as

thanks all
This relapse is so strange and lately increasing number of people have faced this. Wish those who are Dr. King's patients could provide an answer to this. Is xeljanz losing its efficacy or is it something ordinary?!

i studied, the biologic( xelijanz is one of it) have a lot of times  these  relapses after some times, in ones it begin before in other begin after...you can go in psoriasis group and ask to the ones use biologic : after some times  begin the relapse and they must go to another biologic...this is not a cure but a momentanly solution ...the cure must no immunosoppress the immunitary system but make it normal: it can be staminal cel, vitamin d in toxic dosis, diet, ldn a new thing or all these thin gs togheter...xelijanz appears not the definitive answer  :-(

It's perfectly normal to lose hairs every day.

Have you spotted any new visible patches ?
me ! no patch thanks god
but a lot of hairs in my comb everyday when I take a shower
and my lashes grow white hair (fuzzy) first starting Xeljanz then fall down again !?
That is sad Nicolas, though I think, in some people, Xeljanz should be taken in combination with other drugs to have maximum efficacy. I intended to buy Xeljanz but I literally don't want to spend thousands of dollars just to end up losing hair again even whilst I am on the drug!
Always Good to have a Plan Did you start YOURE Xelljanz yet Wildstar?
