I have received a lot of interest from others on here in my involvement with the Xeljanz trials at Yale.

I thought it would be nice for everyone if I documented my progress on here.

Xeljanz is a Jak3 inhibitor and is believed to work with alopecia by turning off the distress signal relayed by the hair follicle to the attacking immune system which is the cause of the hairs falling out. Xeljanz comes in a strength of 5mg per pill and a full box contains 60 tablets. The recommended dosage for arthritis is 1 tablet in the morning and another in the evening each day.

The trial is set in a series of stages and there are requirements before participating. These include monthly visits and blood tests every 2 weeks. Dr Brett King is absolutely fantastic and is an inspiration to me. His positivity and enthusiasm gives me the much needed hope I have craved for over a decade. I have been put on a low dose to start with which is 1 tablet every other day. My dosage has now been increased to 1 tablet every day and next month it could be increased to 2 tablets per day depending on the results.

I have completed my first month and have already noticed my alopecia has stabilised . I have not lost any existing hairs. In addition to this I have seen little hairs growing in my chest area as well as eyebrows. Fingers crossed! To date, I have experienced no side effects.

how was it going with 4 pills sadele?
Good news everyone! Pfizer's pharmacy called me this morning and they are now dispensing Xeljanz for 3 MONTHS AT A TIME, instead of one. I asked the lady why and she said "it will cut down on number of phone calls to reorder."
Yes Xelljanzmiracle that was how mine was received last week 3 bottles 11mgs I am currently in the process of being reevaluated for another year with Sonexos pharmacy hopefully I will be approved again. Have you ever had any health issues. My white cell count is down a little but well within safe range. Thanks james 2me
My cholesterol has been high so my doctor lowered me back to 2 pills a day. I have drastically changed my diet so I can go back to 3 a day soon I hope.
Xeljanz miracle I was under the impression you got results from 2 pills a day. Did you start on 3 a day?
I started on 2, my hair grew back, but it started coming in faster, thicker, fuller and longer on 3. Just like Kyle Rhodes. I was also taking a LOT of BIOTIN. Walmart has the 10,000 mgs at really low prices. I need to stock up on that again.

Hi XeljanzMiracle,

It's good to see your still making progress with Xeljanz. I was wondering how long have you been on Xeljanz before you decided to move up to 3 a day?

I got growth on my head and body, lashes came in but quickly fell out.
Right now I have almost a full head of hair but the front top is shedding a lot. It has thinned out so you can see my scalp.
Thanks DJ88. I started 3 a day around the 3 month period, which is what Dr. King did for Kyle Rhodes. I was fortunate, I had an overlap in shipping and started giving myself 3 a day before my next doctor's appointment. Then I told the doctor I was taking 3 and much to my surprise he refilled my prescription at that amount! I'm getting ready to go back k to 3 next week when my 3 month supply from the Hardship Program arrives.
Were you taking 3x a day (10mg,5mg,5mg) ?
5 mg three times a day
How were results for you? Im new on here, Im sure you have posted in past about growth. Ive been 11mg 1x a day for 3 1/2 months and have nothing yet.
