Hello,

February 2022,  seems as though discussions regarding Xeljanz have ended. I tried sorting the latest and cannot find anything new.  I have been on Xeljanz for about 10 months, I had total hair loss.  I have white hair now that is growing slowly.  My eyelashes have completely come back and slowly my eyebrows. I have spots of dark hair where the white hair falls out and is replaced with my natural color.

The bad news is my cholesterol is sky-high. It was not for the first 6 months but was at my last blood work.  I have tapered by 1/4 of the dose taking 5 mg in the morning and a half at night. It's been about 6 weeks and so far it has not triggered any hair loss. I know the latest news on Xeljanz hasn't been good, serious health issues with stroke and heart attack as I follow Pfizer closely. So there is that!

I was hoping this blog would involve folks who have tapered or have stopped Xeljanz and their results, but I am assuming if they have and had hair loss perhaps no longer in discussions.  If anyone has anything to share or questions for me please ask!

Thank you!

Linda

Hello change your diet and play sports, take supplements. Usually the cholesterol goes down.

I advise you to go see a naturopath for advice.

me too my cholesterol has increased with xeljanz

Thank you Kevin, I have started doing all of that new bloodwork end of month hopefully it has come down.

Hi Kevin

I’ve been on Xeljanz since September 2019. Dose of between 2 - 3 pill per day (4.2mg Indian generic version). My cholesterol was always high even before beginning xeljanz. I was on a low statin to control my cholesterol about 5 years beforehand. I have maintained a low / manageable cholesterol count of between 3.7-4.7 over the last 7 years. My personal experience is that the xeljanz has not effected my levels. I’m on a 2.5mg statin that is recommended for a male mid 40’s. My Liver and kidney function blood tests bi-annually would support this data. Hope this helps and keep well.

That's great Kevin!

Greetings, alter your diet and exercise routine while taking supplements. Typically, cholesterol levels decrease. I recommend that you consult a naturopath for advice. x trench run

When you say "sky-high" cholesterol, can you tell me what that means in numbers (total cholesterol)?  I am just curious, as I have heard some people say Xeljanz has adversely affected their cholesterol, and others say it has not.  Thank you.
