Alisha, No sorry about that! I guess i wasn't clear! The product is to draw on your eyebrows from what I understand, not a cure and it does not makes them grow. Natalie uses it and told me it worked pretty well. Maria had asked about permanent eyebrows and eyeliner and I thought I would mention the other product because it is not permanent and might be another good option for someone that is looking into that.i hope that clears it up! :)

What is this product from Sophora? Does it help them from falling out? Is there a site or something I can look at it?
Thanks!

Maria,
I heard that a product from Sophora works really good for eyebrows called Anastasia. Natalie who's a member here uses it and she loves it. Also, there are some good links on the bald girls do lunch website under links, there is like a whole list of different things there that might help you. I would research the person and maybe look at pictures of people they have done before you get a permanent tattoos. I think they can look good, but it depends on who does them. I think there is an art to it. Well wishes! :)

Cristian, I would try ProActive. That stuff works like magic no matter where they occur. I was on tour with a guy who would get bad outbreaks, and when he used it, stuff went right away. It can dry your skin out a bit, but it takes care of the pimple problem.

...It seems I've hijacked the group into a discussion of skin care. Oh, and Lois, I still get a deviant now and again too. I just remember being sixteen and, like, I'd get this gonza one between my eyes. Awww, awkward teen years.

I had my face full of pimples after i use cortisone creams (Dermovat and Elcon). It made no hair to grow back, but it gave me the worst pimples i had in my life. I stopped using the creams and i still have them. I almost had none as a teen!

Hi Joyce, When struggling with alopecia, I think you still have to deal with the current situation while you wait to see if your hair will regrow or not. Unfortunately, I can say that I have had alopecia for close to 20 years along with others who have suffered longer than me. If there was something that was 100% fool-proof and worked I hope that we would hear about it.

My advice to you, is while you are waiting to see what your body is going to do, is to work on accepting it. To me that meant, getting to a point that if someone commented on my "hair", I could say "Oh, this is not my hair, I am wearing a wig. I have Alopecia. Alopecia is..." Eventually I started showing close friends and relatives and when I was in the comfort of my home or my parents home I would take it off and be comfortable. I am not saying that you have to go to the point that you no longer wear wigs. I am talking about letting go of the hiding. Going forward and not allowing alopecia to stop you from the things that you love to do. IE: Swimming, riding roller coasters, dating, sharing a hotel room with a friend. It is about finding unique and interesting ways to do the things you love. And then coming back and sharing them with others so that they can be inspired from you as well.
