Hi Lori,
Welcome to the group. My Alopecia started with AA, then AT and now AU for the past 4 years. I've some har now on the scalp but they come and go. We haven't had a meeting yet and should definitely plan for a meetup to be able to meet other alopecians in the area. You can also e-mail me at forvg at hotmail...

Hello All. I have been starting to plan a 5k to support & start awareness in my area. Just in the planning phase. I'm about 45min from Richmond area or about 2hr from the DC area. I know there is not a race near my home so I'm writing to see if any of you would like to run it? help be a part of it?
I'm still not very good with this web page. Please feel free to send me an E-mail to

So did any "meet-ups" happen yet?

Either date works for me (the 4th Sat is 23rd; my anniversary is 21st, so if hubby wants to go out, evening may be out for me).

Lots of great places to meet. I'm okay with DC area. The Navy Yard park is very nice. If weather is nice, we could do a lite picnic.

I think this is an amazing idea! lets find out which one works best for everyone!

Let's finally plan to meet. I'm sure a meeting will help folks look at some ideas other people have tried and boost morale.

Please reply ASAP with these:
--When: I think Saturday would work for most of us. How about 4th Saturday of July or 1st Saturday of August?
--Where: We can pick a place around DC? Suggestions?
