I have AT, and have had eczema since I was a baby. Right now I ALWAYS have it on my fingers. It drives me CRAZY!!!! It comes and goes everywhere else on my body, eccept my fingers. I probably don't take care of it like I should. I do have a Rx cream, but it doesn't seem to be doing it for me. Maybe it's because I'm a very busy wife and mom who washes her hands constantly. I sometimes make myself skip washing my hands sometimes just because it's sooo bad. There is a really great cream called Cetaphil that works wonders for our type of skin. You have to buy the one that is sold in the tub container. It's about 11 bucks. It's very gentle. No scent, or dyes, and it's not heavy on the skin. Even if you apply it to a bad flare-up it won't burn at all. Just FYI

I've had alopecia universalis since i was 11, but ecxema since I was born. I've learned to control my scratching. I don't have it on my finger like some you u guys do, but its really bad on my ankles. Then again, I just rub that cortisone stuff on it and it feels better for at least 6 hours. The worst part is when u scratch and scratch and then u realized you've scratched too much and it starts burning and bleeding.

Yeesh that would be me. The creases. What sucks is when I do mixed martial arts and some of the meds I take turn the eczema into a burning ring worm because they allow yeast to get in.

Hey everyone..I am Tasha and I have AU and Eczema..I lost my hair when I was 2 and the eczema didnt start until my teens..I am now 26 and I have three wonderful babies. Two of my kids also have eczema but it is way worse than mine..they both also have food allergies which I do not. I am really curious if they will have alopecia..does anyone know the statistics?

I never noticed it coming back worse after a shot. I've been told by a few doctors that the shots are bad for you, but I researched it myself and found out that those docs were wrong. You can get one a month and it's fine. When I get back to Texas, I'm going to Mexico to get some so I can inject myself.

I use Cortaid and Eucerin lotion. What a pain in the ass. If I could afford it I'd get a cortizone shot every month, that does wonders for me. I have it on my fingers bad right now, it won't go away no matter what i do.

Hi All,
I started out with eczema at the age of 10....and I too have noticed that when I have too much dairy...milk and cheese I break out in a rash. Now I just found out I'm diabetic and I've been a vegetarian all my life so how do I avoid milk and cheese completely! They are my one main source of protein. And so the sage continues for me!
Enjoy you day...it's getting colder now.
