Hi everyone! I am glad to be a part of this group! I have had alopecia for several years now! Basically all my hair is gone, seems like at times it wants to grow back again but then those little patches fall out again so my body doesn't know what it wants to do, haha. Treatments I tried at the dermatologoist didn't work, though. I don't know about any of you but God has definitely used this to give me a fuller view of who I am in Him and to challenge me to see myself how the Bible says God sees me! So, it has its annoyances and frustrations at moments but have learned to find blessings in them too!

Welcome to the group Sue Anne :)
I was quite surprised when I first joined here to discover that there was no group for Christian's with alopecia. I'm delighted at the way the group has grown and I'm sure it will continue to grow.
It's great knowing that you're all here and I know that I can come here at any time and you'll all understand me.

God bless. x

I am so glad I found this group...What a great way to express my feelings and know that God is with all of us!! I pray every night for my hair to come back, but I know there is a reason why this came to me. I might not know in this life, but I will sure find out when we are all up in our heavenly home!! Sue

Welcome to the group Christine. :)

I just wanted to ask everyone if there are any issues you guys would specifically like prayer for. I often pray for the group as a whole and the individuals in it, both for their hairloss and just in general prayer. But if there are any specific issues either concerning your hair loss or anything else, drop me an email at meganlackie@hotmail.co.uk.

Anything guys, and remember it'll all be in complete and utter confidence.

Hope you're all well. Megan x

Hi, everyone, my name is Christine, I'm a Christian and I have had AA for about 7 yrs now, I am so happy to have found this site, I have still never been able to speak with another Alopecian face to face, so this support is wonderful, and a real Godsend, and to find a group within a group that is Christian oriented, to be able to pray for others, and know that others who understand are praying for you is so needed. Having AA can be lonely, I have wonderful friends, who love me but don't understand, it can really isolate you at times and you end up feeling helpless at times, at least I do, I know that through Christ we can endure all things, and I am reminded often that he has numbered each hair on my head, which comforts me, as I know that he is very aware of each one that falls also. I look forward to getting to know others here, and hopefully make some new friends, and share experiences with those who truly understand. :-) Christine

Here you go Megan, just another reminder....

Jonny Diaz - More Beautiful You
From the album More Beautiful You

Little girl fourteen flipping through a magazine
Says she wants to look that way
But her hair isn't straight
her body isn't fake And she's always felt overweight

Well little girl fourteen I wish that you could see
That beauty is within your heart
And you were made with such care
your skin your body your hair
Are perfect just the way you are

There could never be a more beautiful you
Don't buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you

Little girl twenty-one the things that you've already done Anything to get ahead
And you say you've got a man but he's got another plan
Only wants what you will do instead

Well little girl twenty-one you never thought that this would come You starve yourself to play the part
But I can promise you there's a man whose love is true
And he'll treat you like the jewel that you are

Chorus
So turn around you're not too far
To back away be who you are
To change your path go another way
It's not too late you can be saved

If you feel depressed with past regrets
The shameful nights hope to forgets
Can disappear they can all be washed away
By the one who's strong can right your wrongs

Can rid your fears dry all your tears
And change the way you look at this big world
He will take your dark distorted view
And with his light he will show you truth
And again you'll see through the eyes of a little girl
