Thought I would share my derma roller experience-
it arrived yesterday via Amazon, where would we be without Amazon! Anyway, I had ordered a 0.5 mm derma roller- last night I rinsed it with rubbing alcohol as directed and rolled it 4-5 times all over the back of my right hand only- just to see if I could notice a difference from not using it on my left. I then used my normal moisturizer and wow, I could tell a difference right away! My right hand still feels plump and smooth, while my left, well does not.
I also rolled it all over my face, chest and my hairline and then used coconut oil and massaged it into my face- again Wow! Even this morning my face feels so smooth and plump, like I just had a facial. I did notice that last night where I rolled on my "white band" along the hairline it was a little tender, so will need to take care there, but it wasn't horrible.
So even if this little tool does not promote hair growth, I will keep using it on my skin once or twice a week. Thanks for posting about these little rollers as I am in LOVE with mine!

From my little experiment of using the roller on one hand only I can tell a difference- my right hand feels so smooth, I keep touching it because it feels so nice compared to my rough old left hand! Definitely recommend it :-)
Ready to give it a try! I see .025 and 0.5mm How did you decide on 0.5? and is one brand better than another?
I literally chose a brand on amazon based on price and reviews- as they are to be replaced every, some say 1-2 months some say 3-4 months, I guess it depends on how much you use it- but I didn't want to be paying $30-$40-$50 or even $20 every time I had to replace it, so $13.99 seems reasonable to me :-D
Here is a link to copy and paste that explains the different sizes
http://dermarollerqmd.com/demarolling-therapy/what-size-derma-rolle...
I think if you go much higher in size from 0.5 then you are risking damage to skin and a longer recovery time as the needles go in much deeper and those sizes are really meant for the professionals, but it is up to you as to which size to get.
As for me even with the 0.5 on my face up on the edges of my scalp it is quite sensitive and tender- but on my hands it is fine, I wouldn't want to risk damaging the skin on my face or making it irritated/red/sore from using to deep of a needle. So the plan for now is to use the 0.5 once a week on my face and 2 times a week on my hands. Speaking of my hands, it has been 3 days and wow! My "test" derma roller hand is still definitely softer then the non derma roller hand!
Thanks for the excellent link! I clearly did not understand derma-rolling until I read that article. Now I am considering it for my hands and face/neck.
Ariam, I don't know if it will help with the bumpy skin, I guess the only way to find out is to maybe try it on a small spot and see what happens- if it helps or irritates it? I do know when I use it on my " white band" in front of my hairline, that is very tender, much more tender then the rest of my face-
Classical Anne, good luck! I am very pleased with mine :-)
