God bless winter. Beanies are my life at present moment.
Deeann, that sounds really cool. how's it coming along?
I've spoke with several members in this group, but just wanted to let the rest of you know about a book I'm working on. It's really starting to take shape, and I'm looking for additional stories from men, women and children in all stages of hairloss.
I wear hats or scarves the majority of the time, and feel it's a nice way to accessorize (along with great earrings).
I've been featuring people who have made a difference with their experience by making choices to do something better, or to living up to their true potential. If you'd like to be part of this project, feel free to check out my website for "Head-On, Stories of Alopecia". It can be seen at www.baldgirlsrock.com. You can also see it on facebook under the "Head-On..." title. I would love it if you could "like" and "share" it so it will continue to encourage more people to share their stories. The alopecia community has always been so supportive of one another, and my hope is that word of this project will spread like wildfire. I look forward to hearing your story.
Hi all! Cool idea for a group! Anyone from South Africa here? Looking for some local hat store recommendations. Scarves/bandannas too.
Hi Everyone, I just joined this group and getting into wearing hats. I love San Diego hat company as a resource!
I am posting my flyer about my research coming up at the 2012 National Alopecia Areata Foundation Conference. It is about the how art can help emotional well being and coping in the Alopecia Areata population. If you are a young adult and are going to the conference and interested please message me! Keep rockin the stylish hats guys and gals and hopefully see you on Alopecia World or at the conference!
Lexi, do a Google search: head scarf pretied; and it will bring up a LOT of choices for you to choose from!
Does anyone know where I can find some pre-tied scarves? I surely would not have a clue as to how to tie them, so don't even begin to try to explain. Pre-tied would work well. Thanks to you all who might respond.
In this season's Crochet! magazine they wrote again about the Wiggies hat and put a PDF on their website of the pattern.
I am going to try to attach(?) it to this post.
I hope it works.

I really don't like hats!!! Maybe because it's not my choice to wear one... Maybe you all could change my mind???
I am more comfortable in a head scarf and am currently on the look out for plain coloured ones but I am fussy as I only like Square cottons ones ;)
no but I want a face like that one!
