Raise your hand if you have Multiple Autoimmune Diseases. I have noticed that a lot people here have more than just Alopecia. I myself have Alopecia Areata, Crohn’s Disease, Psoriasis, and some form of Arthritis not yet diagnosed.

Hi all, I am new to AW but have had AU for over 20 years. I also have eczema and arthritis. I am always tested for lupus because my numbers are always high. Also I was wondering how many of you have been told your white blood cell count has to do…Continue

Anyone else have high cholesterol? I don't eat any meat, have fish now and again, don't eat chocolate, don't like cream, no butter either. Eat a little cheese and 6 tsp of plain yoghurt daily. Drink a couple of wines a week. Only eat egg whites. No…Continue

Interesting enough, I have also been diagnosed with rhematoid (excuse spelling) arthritis as well as kidney issues along with alopecia. Doctors have recently told me that these links classify me as having lupus. Pretty Crazy

Anyone take Plaquenil? A flair up of polymyalgia and dr put me on it instead of back onto prednisone as I was already on that for a few years and didn't want to go back on it. Plaquenil made me so nauseous but now after a few months I don't feel quite so bad but have lost weight as my appetite is nowhere near where it was. Also have the itchies like you wouldn't believe. Am sticking with it as it seems to help although not eliminate the pain.
im a new member, i also have alopecia frontal, but going into all most all hair loss except at nape of neck part, I have posriasis, osteoarthritis and kidney/bladder issues, Also was just told i have estential tremors. so guess i belong to this group. Not sure though since im new which group i belong in.
Hey, I got 1. Excyzma, 2. hay fever & 3 this Hashimoto's stuff. Hashimoto's might cause it all. Just started treatment.
Good morning everyone. Went to my Optometrist yesterday for dry eyes that have been getting worse for about a month. I saw him in December nad he told me that i have some scratching on my cornea ( the clear covering of the eye) since December my eyes have started burning and get tired eyes everyday. I have Sjrogen's symdrome along with the AA, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Grave's Disease ( hyperthyroid) and something else the Dr's can't yet pinpoint - thinking it's Fibromyalgia.
I found out that Sjogren's, AA and Grave's can have a negative effect on your tear production thus affecting your eye's. I have been put on two different eye drops.I have to go back in two weeks for him to see if my cornea looks any better.
Don't know if any of you have the same issues but though I'd let people know. Take Care and Happy Saturday. Kat
I'll join in the fun and say that I have AU, Hashimoto's, lupus, and intracranial hypertension (which may or may not be because of the autoimmune stuff, just not sure).
