Ok. I have a question from anyone with experience with this. My baby is now 14months and she started loosing it all at 9 1/2 months. She now has tons and tons of white hair coming in on her head and eyebrows. It is white and there is a lot! It has gotten longer too. Will it get a pigment? Anyone else notice this and have luck? Is this a good thing?

Well I haven't been around in a while and lots has happened. Crystal, my 16 yr old, informed us 4 months ago that we are going to be grandparents. Truly scary and upsetting, but I still love her dearly. Her AA has not gotten any better although the doctor said she may get some growth, if anything it's been more lose. Now she has become even more worried because you can really see the spots. I am just waiting for her to finally say "what the crap mom, let's just shave it all off!" But because kids a so cruel I do not think this will happen. I just really want her to embrace both her inner and outer beauty and be happy, especially being pregnant.

My 11 year old son has never met anyone with alopecia. I would love it if we could meet another person with hair loss so he sees that he is not alone. Does anyone know of any children with aa that lives in the Detroit/West Bloomfield MI area?

Hi everyone! Does anyone live in L.A., California??? I really would like my 13 yr.old daughter to find someone she can relate to and meet. She was just recently diagnoised. It is spreading really fast. She gets injections every 3 weeks. She is showing very little progress and the doctor said it was going to be a slow process. I can not wait to show this site to my daughter tomorrow, and hopefully she will find some comfort in your stories. My prayers go out to all of you!!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, a bald cat!! I was just saying this the other day. So funny!! I too would get one for my baby Gabby. She is now 14months and started loosing her hair at 91/2months. I am seeing a lot, a lot, of little hair growth. I am praying for her hair to come back. She has no eyelashes or eyebrows at all. I hope this is a good thing. Anyone else see this happen. I see little hairs coming in. Tons! They are all blond though, white. I hope they get some pigmentation. There is a lot though.
Anyone on here from Maryland?

Have you signed up with CAP? I think they can try to help you locate other people in your area, but of course that only works if they've signed up, too. I'm the only one registered in Nebraska, for example.
