the actress on the desperate housewife episode,"everybody should have a maid", is named AISHA HINDS. she never wears her hair truly shaved; but very short... on a broader front, here is a man who totally supports those who choose to shave completely, and many of you would be suprised how many find you beautiful with hair or not. what a woman needs to truly pull of the look is CONFIDENCE. not everyone will get your style choice, but you can never pleaqse EVERYBODY. the key point to remember is the RIGHT people will care for you, and be attracted to you...for YOU...not your hair stlye. a positive look on life, a sense of humor, and a touch of diva attitude are all major ingrediants of beauty also... peace & respect

Just wanted to say hi and thank you. I got so sick of the fear and dread and the shame and the hair everyfreakingwhere and shaved my head on 24th October. I joined here the next day - I can safely say knowing I wasn't alone, reading all your comments and looking at the pictures and videos helped immensely. Knowing that feeling relief was OK, nigh on common for you all, reassured me.

I've been out and proud with a very closely buzzed head for about three weeks now and am loving it. It's looking like I'll be smooth bald at some point soon but having taken the decision to shave it all off last month I'm pretty zen about the future, whatever happens. I took some control back and whatever happens next, I'll still be me and I'll still be healthy and I'll still wear far too much eyeliner and love my sequinned hats.

So yeah, thank you. You rock. All of you. Yes, you at the back too.

Hey Ladies! I took the big leap and shaved my head on thursday night! It felt great! I don't know if I will ever be confident enough to step out of my house without my wig, but for now, I'm feeling great going bald at home! My husband can't quit touching my head! haha

Hello Sisters! Since The National Bald Out began on this Group with my posts here last Spring, I thought I'd let you all know that I just posted a new Discussion on the National Bald Out Group about 2010 National Bald Out Day T-shirts being available online now. Read about it on the NBO Group, and have a look at the shirts here: http://www.cafepress.com/NBODay

Hugs to everyone,
Mary

Bald is sooo liberating. When my AA patches got bigger than they joined making bigger patches, I couldn't stand seeing my hair everywhere. All over my clothes, all over the pillows & sheets, strewen all through the carpet that started matting into the vacuum cleaner, I talked about how much & close I was to wanting to shave it all off. When I started seeing it stuck to visitors (mostly family members) I knew It was time. It grew slowly, I mean slowly after 2 years, then with just two small patches to go, they grew bigger & more patches came. Time to pull out the hair-clippers & Razor out. To be honest, I love it aaanndddd hate it at different times.lol. sorry, blah blah blah.

This actress has been on several tv shows. I have seen her in several episodes of the series Hawthrone-she palyed a homeless that gave birth. I also remember seeing her as lawyer but can't remember in which what show. She wears her buzz cut quite well.

Yes, she has a short buzz, not truly bald. But, it's a step in the right direction to showcase a woman with this look!

Margaret - you should definitely get a featured part! Let us know when you have any appearances.
