This group is for women who have taken the bull by the horns and decided to shave their heads. It is also for those that aspire to someday shave their head. Hopefully we can provide support, guidance and compassion to one another.

Nicola, I get compliments from men on how beautiful I am. I got one question from a co-worker, why did you do that? I explained to her I have alopecia and gave her all the information. Other than that, no negative feed back.
Hi all! I also shaved my head about a year ago.Although I have gone bald at work, I tend to wear beret-type hats as it gets a bit chilly on the noggin even in the office! Looking forward to summer time though! How do you all handle the questions/stares when you go out in public?
Hi Meme. Great decision and true - you need to reach for that inner strengh now and then:). I shaved mine in August 2012 and am loving the freedom.
Congrats Meme! I shaved mine in May 2012 and I feel so free :). Wishing you a positive journey!
Congrats Meme! I shaved my head March of 2012 and I love being me. Some days are hard, but my good days out way my days. Glad I decided to be who God created me to be.
Good for you! See my blog post about my 5th anniversary Jan. 30 of doing the same, and how far I've come! Being publicly bald is just who I am now. Good luck on the path.
On January 12th I said no more full lace wigs and shaved my head. I could no longer worry about what others would say or how they would treat me. Since my reveal, I've had to reach way down and pull out that inner strength on some days..but I do not regret my decision to shave my head.
Glad, your initial experience was positive, Marinetta!
Congratulations Marinetta!
It's only been 3 weeks since my "debut" and it has really gotten easier everyday! :D
Today was my first day bald out in public! A few stares, maybe imagined (not from the kids though..big eyes) but it felt really good. In sweden people tend not to approach other people unless necessary, so I felt very comfortable.
