Well, Victor Book, you don't look ugly! Besides, it's good to remember that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. When I was younger with a paralyzed face, it was extremely hard on anyone that I was dating because of my "attitude". Lucky me, the fellows only became more compassionate. People respond to the way we treat them. If you haven't given up finding a job (and you shouldn't), think of life as an opportunity to meet interesting people; they just might find you pretty intriguing too (and you might share some interests)! Confidence will always be important because it helps to make others comfortable. Did your speech teacher ever say that one way to obtain confidence was to picture a naked audience; this is extremely humorous as we age:). If you continue to interview, try to leave the fears and insecurities outside that door before you walk in; you'll both enjoy the situation a whole lot more. Remember the interviewer may not be looking forward to this anymore than you so why not make the best of the circumstances. You look stunning in that hair piece!

I'm new here; just joined Alopeciaworld. I've been suffering with hair loss for 30 years and it got so bad the last five that I was embarrassed to be seen in public. Job interviewing was really hard when I felt so ugly (I've been out of work since 2008).

Great news, TallGirl! Keep squeezing in all of your capabilities during the interview, how much you will bring to the program, lots of new ideas that you bring to the position, etc. Today its all about creative minds and yours is the best!

Petra, becoming more voluptuous as you age is merely life throwing you a curve... or two, ho, ho :)

Soo, you're welcome to my pans. About the only use they get with me is catching drips (OK, me included....)

And Dom - if you want your life in balance, you need a chip on BOTH shoulders. I'll save you one after tea tonight (and Happy Birthday, by the way - hope you didn't stay at Basil Fawlty's place while you were in Torquay!) :)

"WOW Dom! "Unbalanced" sounds exciting; go for it! Love the unpredictable nature of that," says the Gemini:).

And, John, you can run a marathon with these 50s people! Don't make me come there with one of Norm's cast iron frying pans:).

I remember Ms Kitt when she played Ms Kitty on Batman & Robin.

Happy belated birthday Dom. I sure wish I still weighed the same as when I was 25.. Oh well...I like to think that I am more voluptuous now HA HA HA HA HA

Thanks, Tallgirl. But, sorry, don't recognize Ms. Kitt....too young:).

PBS had an excellent special on the gifted lady when she died a couple of years ago. She was becoming very popular at about the time we were able to watch her on our first TV set with a small black and white screen in a large console....ooops.
