Hi all - I know this was covered but I cannot find the blog or discussion. What do you use to clean the inside of the vacuum wig daily? I can't find wipes that are all natural and need help looking :)? Also, do you wash it with soap and water each night or just once a week??

Sorry to ask for a repeat but I just got mine a few weeks ago and want to ensure I don't wreck the silicone with a cleaner that's too harsh.

Happy Holiday Season to all!

Thank you! Someone had said they clean the inside with a wipe of some sort? I'll look at the site - hope your night is good! It's COLD here in CO!
Hi

You really have to clean the inside cap of your Freedom Vacuum hairpiece on a daily basis. For my daughter I use a little loafer and a small amount of detergent and water. Keeps it fresh and clean.

Washing your hair on your hairpiece will depend on your lifestyle, again for my daughter she does this about every week or so -dependent on what she has been up to.

The silicone base is a very durable product, most things won't cause it too much harm (peroxide and things like that aren't any good for it though).

Another thing that you can do on a weekly basis is use baking soda and water mixed into a paste, paint this on the inside of your hairpiece - let it dry - then rinse it off. This removes any oil build up you may not have removed with your daily cleansing.

Hope that all help.

Hi Rosy - what is loafer?  I clean mine with mild soap daily.  I like the baking soda idea.  Thanks.
Hi Rebecca,
The name of the all natural wipes and spray are in the last newsletter. (I'm at work and I don't have it handy.) I bought the spray (can't get the wipes in Canada), so I spray and wipe nightly.
Thank you Shannon! I'll look it up - Have a great day at work!
I believe that cleaning the wig is important for maintaining the health of the head. Using chemicals to keep a wig clean is not a good idea. I have a vacuum cleaner that has a special small nozzle and that has a wet cleaning mode that is sold from companies that are recommended here where are reviews on vacuum cleaners that cost under 150 dollars and other vacuum cleaners - and this vacuum cleaner helps with cleaning my wig perfectly. I clean the inside of my wig with this vacuum cleaner. And I wash the outside with shampoo.
