Hi All...hope you are doing well! I just wanted to pass on to this Freedom Wig wearing group that this is the final month to enter the "Tell Your Story Competition" that Freedom Wigs is hosting. You can visit your local IA's website or freedomwigs.com for details but you could win a trip to New Zealand. Just wanted to pass it on to all you lovelies!

I've been interested in this discussion because I've had a freedom wig for a couple of years now and I have always favored a fairly loose fit on my head and have found it to be very comfortable and functional (meaning it's never in danger of blowing off my head!). I had the feeling I was "doing it wrong" but now I think maybe it's been closer to the "correct" fit all along. In any case, I'm happy with my wig and after two years I find I can just "throw it on" with pretty good results. Best of luck in finding the groove that works for you!

Hey all,

I tried putting the fit cap on again and then tracing with eyeliner around the edge. I then put the wig on and tried to line it up. It seemed to have worked. Now to perfect this technique and get it on in one or two attempts. Things are looking up! Yeah!!!!

Debbi Fuller is my rep. She is fantastic. I had driven down to NH to get my wig done down there. The stylist was having an off day and instead of giving me caramel highlights she gave really blonde brassy ones. I didn't like the cut either. When I got home I was pretty much upset over everything. Deb fixed the color for me. The color is now wonderful! I just can't get the thing on my head. I wanted to take it to someone up here and see if we could tweak the bangs. Because I can't seem to get the stupid wig on my head the right way I probably will never do that. Let me tell you I have tried and tried and tried. Finally I have given up. I know I have had it on twice fitting the right way. I just don't get it. I have lost some weight recently so I thought maybe that is it but the fit cap fits like a glove. No word of a lie I have tried to put this wig on at least 30 times with no luck. I haven't got an hour a day to try and put a wig on. It is either too far forward and pinches the head and then lets go or it feels loose... I just don't know what I am doing wrong. What I do know is this should not take this much effort to get it on my head.

I wish there waws a way to remove hair from the wig. The bangs are soooo thick and with the wispy wierd short layers on top it looks nasty. They look great when they are wet because they don't look so thick. When they dry it is back to helmet head.... If I ever get the thing on will a stylist here be able to thin out those bangs some more.... Every picture I see of wigs their bangs don't look half as thick as mine... If I could remove about half of the bangs then it would be perfect.

I know exactly what you mean Lori M. I have the weird short layers in places. worried about fiddling with the wig to get it on and then causing it to get damaged. very frustrating. Is your Freedom representative any help?

Hi GrowGirl. I have the exact same problem. The bangs drive me absolutely crazy. They are way too thick for my liking too. Because we tried to thin them out there are weird short layers on top of the longer layers. The bangs only sit a certain way. I am doing the exact same thing as you CONSTANTLY playing with the bangs.

I would like to take it someone here and see if they can fix the bangs but I can't get the stupid wig to suction correctly to my head. It is constantly lifting which drives me mad. I have never actually worn this thing since I got it cut back in December. I have prety much given up on it. It sits on my styrofoam head in my bedroom. The color is beautiful now with caramel through it too. What frustrates me the most is the fit cap I can get on my head in one shot and it fits like a glove. I don't know why I am having such a horrid time with the wig. If I can't get the stupid thing on my head then I can't begin to deal with the horrible bang situation. I am worried that all the fighting with this thing is going to cause breakage before I ever get a chance to wear it.

Good luck with the bangs. I hope you have better luck than me.

Hi I just got my freedom wig and wondering did anyone else have problems with bangs in their eyes or wisps of hair going into their eyes (that have no eyelashes to stop that)? I want to move them out of my eyes but then it can cause breakage with the freedom.

My freedom wig will arrive in approximately 8 weeks...yay! Any advice out there on how to choose a style? I ordered the 10 inch length. My hair (which I lost this year) was usually shorter than that, but I thought it would be fun to try a bit longer:) I have lost my eyebrows, but had some permanently tattooed. I am considering bangs to help with some coverage of my eyebrows, but never had bangs before. All advice and wisdom is welcomed, thank you!
