Hi Pat, some of my friends are too - but not me! There's a good mix among my friends - some go grey and some will always color. You CAN do it with a Freedom, but it is more complicated because the human hair grey will take color if you need to refresh the hair that is NOT grey in your piece and the only way to avoid that is to use synthetic grey which isn't ideal. I just figure that it is a great excuse to look younger!!
Good on your mum Debbie, ! I don't know why I'm concerned about NOT going grey, maybe because some of my friend are letting theirs go au natural lol...I'm a crazy mixed up bald woman lol
Hi Garden Girl, Call me and I can tell you about several places, then you can decide. Too much to write here. 603-835-6753.
Oh, and Pat, my Mom, who died in May at the age of 101 and 5 months, NEVER went grey. She had a standing appointment at the colorist and was auburn until her last day. Going grey is a choice, not a necessity!! LOL! Personally, I'm thrilled that I'll never go grey! It doesn't suit my coloring.
Thanks Debbi, that's very helpful indeed. Good to know it's not ash and I love the idea of highlights.
Hi TLDJR, you can use double sided wig tape to hold on a regular wig while you are waiting. If you need an interim wig, I might be able to help, you can call me at 603-835-6753 if you want. I am also a Freedom agent but I think I'm the only one who handles other types of wigs as well.
I need help! I'm waiting for the hair for my first Freedom wig. I suffer from androgenic alopecia and will have to shave my head for the plaster cast to be made. I live a very active lifestyle and my current solution will not come off, even on roller coasters. I'm trying to find the best interim solution for the time between the time I shave my head and the time I receive my Freedom wig. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a remarkable fear of my wig blowing off when I walk out of my office. Thanks!
Hi Pat, #10 isn't ash - all browns have red at their base so you'll have some auburn, reddish lights in the sun. Since it is hair from many different women, it isn't one "flat" color either, but getting hi-lights is a great way to make it really "pop". You don't need too many and they only have to be 2 shades lighter to make a real difference. Make sure they put a few in the bangs to really light up your face.
