Hi Cheryl, I use Dawn dishwashing liquid. Everyday I put a drop of Dawn into the silicone and rub it around than a bit of water and wash it out. I use my FW every single day for 9-10 hrs - no smell. I only clean the silicone everyday, but wash the hair every other week depending on how it looks, sometimes I can go 3 weeks. I love my hair.

Hi Cheryl,
Try some skin Toner Refreshner. I use Clinique. A simple and easy to find is Rosewater.
Good luck!

does anyone have any tips on getting the smell out of the cap? i have tried the baking soda tip that came with the instructions when my daughter received her piece....hasn't worked. it gets wiped out every day (by me, mum) i wash her hair once a week thru winter, more thru summer due to swimming etc. any tips welcome =)

Hi Myem,
It is not necessary to leave the conditioner on that long for the first time. I recommend a deep conditioning treatment about every 4 months, especially after the summer months.
Warm Regards, Donna~

Hi All.
I am about to wash my daughter's FW for the first time. Is it OK to leave the conditioner on the whole FW for 10-15 minutes? With the regular wigs, I was told not to leave the conditioner on for too long - near the base as not to weaken the hair and cause them to fall out.
Thanks,
Myem

I live in NZ (where the wigs are made) and it took 5 months for me to get the wig...but it was just because I wanted a 12inch, a length that is hard to get, so worth the wait. This is my second one and im so much more confident than with a synthetic one!
No one even knows it is a wig unless I tell them!!

Hi Jen I think anyone who has had an experience with Freedom will tell you the wait seems for ever but for us and our daughter Nicole it was also well worth the wait =) She has had her wig for nearly 2 years and has had it cut and coloured several times during it's life time and each time the hair dresser has managed to change the look slightly.........but as the person who paid for the hair I can totally relate to your apprehension about mistakes as I sat there with my heart in my mouth just about crying at every strand that dropped to the ground......however after that first cut I totally trust our stylist (who was recommended by our rep) and don't have any hesitations now. I do hope your hair isn't too far off and that you are totally happy with it I'm sure u will be...........Take care Sharon
