Jessica why would you remove your comments from here? I saw nothing wrong with them at all. We all want to know the possible problems we are up against when ordering those wigs. They cost a lot and if we aren't going to get the service that we need as far as fits caps and hair density go then we should be told about it.

Like I have said before on here if I am going to shell out that kind of money I want that rep to come to town and help me try the fit cap on. Don't mail it to me and say here ya go.... I know squat about these wigs and how it should fit. What I do know is I am paying major money here though and I don't want another ridiculous amount of money go down the drain because I end up hating the piece....

I for one want to know all the great things but definitely the bad things. People should not be offended by it.

Porcelinh,
Thanks so much for the preceding tip about taping the sideburn area. That's such a great idea, and you can really see the difference in your before & after photos. I will be trying it out soon myself. Thanks!

I want to share this little trick that Dawn Harrison taught me at Invisble Hair. To create realistic looking sideburns while wearing your FW, cut a piece of transparent double sided tape in a triangle. Tape it to your skin next to the wings of your FW. Pull some babyhairs/fringe and press it to the other side of the double sided tape and tah dah! Instant natural looking sideburns! This also works great when wearing sunglasses or on a windy outing. The second pic is a side without the double sided tape and the first pic is with the double sided tape. Hope you guys like this trick as much as I do. Enjoy!

Hi All,

If you noticed I removed all of my comments... I recently was able to speak with my Rep about many of the concerns we have voiced on this forum.
I was able to explaine my thoughts and concerns to very willing and open ears. I wish that I had done this long ago first... however we live and learn.
After touching on all of what was mentioned, all of the miscommunication was cleared up for me. I was told that currently getting scanned for a new fit cap for a future purchase was indeed possible at No Extra Charge... and that if we are every in question about the sample of hair we are sent Density or Texture that yes we can get another sample... again at no Extra charge. .
I'm also glad that I was able to talk with my Rep because she was able to learn more about what we want and need to make this big step in our life easier for us. I guess what I've learned and it's kind of silly because I always tell my kids this, that "mommy isn't a mind reader" so being open about what we want and need is important.
I hope this helps and this is what i was getting at, to ask as many question you need so that your Rep can help you get exactly what you want becaue this a great product

Hearing all this feedback is so valuable to me. Thanks ladies for all of your "two cents", and thank goodness for AW!!! Keep the open discussions rolling.

I am not impressed with some of the reps not being there when you try the fit cap on. What do I know if it fits or not. Will I be told to implant the hair next myself? Honestly if you are paying that much they should be there to help you out....Just my two cents....

Personally I want to hear about all experiences good and bad because that way I am well informed. This forum is for people who are thinking of getting the wigs as well. Myself I have already wasted tones of money on wigs. Money that could have gone towards my daughter's education fund. If I am going to drop a huge amount of money again on one of these wigs and there is the possibility that I will not be happy with it I want to know about it. I have no problems with people posting good or bad on here about the products.

Jessica can I ask who your rep was that you dealt with? Are you able to tell me here or can you send me a message and tell me? I just want to know if it is the same one I will be dealing with should I decide to take the plunge and go for a wig..... I am wondering if it is the same one. The one that I will be dealing with doesn't come by and help you try on your fit cap either.... I am not too impressed with that....The more I hear about what has been going on the more and more I think these wigs are not a great idea....

What was the local company you are talking about too that does Freedom wigs?

I am in Canada myself. Our options are so bloody limited. We don't have Freedom wigs in Canada so we have to go through the reps from the States. We have a company in Toronto that sells the Amy Presence wigs... Has anyone tried those?

Wow! Alright I guess I will put my input on this situation...We all have to remember that this company we are getting our hair pieces from is a small business. The supply and demand of these hairpieces are increasing while while the business stays the same size. This could be the problem for the waiting period. Although the waiting period is a very anxious time for all of us, we want our pieces made correctly so if it takes longer than to be expected because they are working on so many that is okay. With that being said, I think it would be a good idea for our reps to give us monthly updates just to keep our minds at ease and us not stepping on their toes. If we just knew what was going on with our hair piece each month our minds would be at ease and we would not care as much how long it took.
The fit and hair in the piece. Wigs are a prothesis which means its not yours, it will never feel or look like your own. No matter what type of hair piece we pick we will have problems with it. I had a lace front synthetic piece that looked very real but I could not go out in the wind in it without fearing it blowing off or the blowing of the hair looked fake, I could not live my life normally. With the freedom wig I don't have the problem. The look of the pieces are very natural looking. I love being able to curl my hair and not worrying about it coming off. The only part I don't like about it is putting it on. It takes a few min. for the piece to sit on my scalp properly. This is because I have a complete head of course non-pigmented hairs that I have to shave every other day to make sure the suction works properly. I think we should be grateful that a company exist and these pieces are available. Though we will always want our own hair we have to come to the realization that any piece we pick out is a prothesis. We are going to have our own problems with it that are not really that serious. I think we need to remember that we could have it much worse and be grateful that if loosing our hair is the only thing that ever happens to us we are blessed . Freedom wigs is a good company with a good product to let us live our lives normally.

What?! Whoa! I'm so sorry that happened to you Jessica. I have ever been told by the two reps I worked with that I would have to pay to be refitted. Also, I wonder if the first hair sample you got was Indian or Chinese hair. That type of hair tends to be a lot courser than European hair. From the FW website it claims that the vacuum wigs only uses the highest quality virgin European hair.
