In my experience it was necessary to shave for the scanner. I didn't have the plaster done but I imagine the scanner was much much quicker and far less messy! As for the fit it produces, I cannot yet comment as I haven't gotten my wig yet. Can't wait though! I am guessing you'll need to keep up with a pretty close shave if you have any real amount of hair, as the suction is meant to work between the silicone and your scalp, not hair.

Can someone tell me what is different about the scanner or plaster? Do you not have to shave for the scanner? Also..if you still have hair ( but not enough) how often does a person have to shave their head for a Freedom wig...surely it wouldnt be every day would it? Thanks for anyone who can answer this!

Hi Myem it is such an exciting time for your daughter. Our daughter Nicole has had her first freedom wig for just over a year and she absolutely loves it. It has made such a huge difference to her life, this was highlighted recently when it had to go back to have a repair done.

All the best

Hi all,
I just ordered a freedom wig for my daughter. She is counting the weeks for it to be here. Going thru some of the comments, I noticed that some Agents use scanner and some use plaster. Does anyone know which method will provide the perfect fit?
Thanks,
Myem

I will be getting one eventually - when it's in the budget! How much do medium length wigs run?

Hi all,

This is a picture of my Freedom wig. It started at 10 inches and now after several trip to the stylists i have hair that I love. I still have a hard time gettting it into the right place on my head. Does anyone else have this problem. sometimes it feels like it isn't fitting right. Overall I love it. I know what you mean about thickness I believe someone mentioned that there really thick... so true but I have had mine thinned out a couple of times so the hair laid flatter. so funny who wants flat hair but I guess I did.

Try rubbing a dryer sheet over the hair.

Hi all! I am getting a freedom wig, should be a few months...Can anyone describe the sample hair that comes with the fit cap? Did you find it was a very good example of the total look/feel of the finished product? Is it enough hair to get a good idea of the feel? Thanks for your thoughts....

Ella wow! I looked at the pics! That is the type of thing I am looking for! There are some cool funky cuts in there! I imagine that you wouldn't use as muchj product in the hair as you would your own hair just because you aren't sleeping in the wig. With my normal hair I would have to put product in it every day because it would be flat from sleeping on it. Hmmmm this may work out.

Julia, I am still going to hang on until your wig comes and you find a decent stylist before I reach the final verdict...... :+) I am such a chicken! It is just that I have already spent over $5000 dollars on wigs that I hate. I don't want to add to that total. I have a little girl whose education fund is more important so I can't afford to buy another super expensive wig that I hate and won't wear. Money is too precious these days....
