I had no luck of going into the salon today. They were booked up so I made an appt for July when I get back from the conference. So, I'll just have to wait and will post pics after the appt. Sigh...

Thank you for the nice comment Sharon! I got my third FW this past Saturday when I got home from work. Wow, 14 inches of hair is very long! lol! It has been a long time since I had that long of a hair and see my forehead clearly with it on. I hope I can get in sometime tomorrow with the stylist that I saw on Friday so that I can get it cut,styled, and highlighted. I would very much like to wear it to Houston! Will post pics soon. Holly

Hi everyone! I just got back from the hair salon and got a shampoo, blowdry, and style with a hair stylist in the San Diego area! I was very impressed with Melinda and her staff! They were so professional and fun to talk with. I am so happy I found them! I will be getting my third freedom wig next week and will be seeing her for my highligts, cut, and style. Today, I just got my current one that I wear out to social events a good shampoo and style with the stylist for the conference next week. She did a fabulous job!

Hey everyone have u noticed that your freedom wig hair gets matted at all??

Nicoles seems to be getting matted and I'm not sure if she needs to just brush it more or the hair is getting dry hmmmmmmmmmmm..............she is using swarzkoph products BC. (sorry not spelt properly)

Any ideas would be appreciated

Hi Sandy ............. yes it does and you wouldn't be the only one who has said words they wish they could take back.....everyone deals with alopecia differently......I have a 12 yr old daughter who is AU/AT so as a family we have had to help her cope with alopecia, it has been difficult for all of us.

I don't know what to say to you other than hang in there and hopefully things will get better for you. You are in a process of grieving at the moment and everyone does that differently............just know that others do know what you are going thru...........the hurt the anger the "why Me" the tears..........it will get better.

Welcome to Alopecia World
If you go to the top of this page you will fing the "Home" page link (on the left hand side) under the Alopecia World heading. There are many members here and many sub-groups that you can join if you wish. This is a sub-group and was started by Maya who is a young girl that wears a Freedom wig. The others here in this group either wear or are parents of children who wear these wigs, or are awaiting for their wigs to be finished, or looking into getting one.

Yay! Got a e-mail from Freedom Wigs rep that I should be getting my third piece real soon! Can't wait for that salon appt to get it highlighted, cut, and styled to wear to the NAAF conference this year! Be on the look out for pics!
