Thanks None!  Don't know who you are but you obviously know me!  Appreciate the nice comment!  As for repairs, they cost about 1/4th of the cost of a new one and they are going to be 'gone' for about 3 months!!  Plan for repairs and make sure you have a back-up ready.  You can avoid repairs by making sure that you don't keep pressing down on the top and "dragging" your hands down your head, pulling on the hair.  I agree about the heat - they never itch and if you do happen to get hot, just pop it off, wipe it out, you can even put cold water in it and dump it out!  (I did that once at Disney World - very refreshing!)

Best wig ever.  Have owned probably 30 wigs over my lifetime.  Freedom is the only one that never itches.  Hair lasts longer than even $3,000 standard wigs...seems to be healthier hair to start with.  Style looks good even day or more after styling. I always get compliments.  Only negative is heat.  It does trap heat more than other wigs.  However it does not collect sweaty smell in the way that other wigs do so the tradeoff has been worth it.  Would be great if they invented a thinner silicone...maybe that would decrease the weight and heat factor.  Gotta say though overall best wig/hair purchase I've ever made.  And Debbi Fuller is awesome!

HI, How much are repairs usually and how long do they keep your wig for? I've noticed at the end of my center part that hair is coming out...so I feel I'll eventually need that section filled in

Hi Bethannebowen, From my LONG experience wearing and selling, MOST people get an average of about 5 years out of their Freedom.  This includes 1 or 2 repairs during that time frame.  The big thing that causes repairs is bending the hair back and forth against the base by either sleeping in it or running your hands through it repeatedly, wearing tight hats, wearing it while watching TV (you lean your head back against a chair or pillow - same as sleeping in it, etc.  Just try to read the instructions and watch the video that comes with it and you'll be fine.  It's important not to push down on it repeatedly during the day.  Take the time to position it properly and then leave it alone.  The longest I've had someone wear one is approximately 10 years and the shortest time before needing a repair was 8 months.  (she ran her hands through it constantly and wasn't aware of what she was doing).  Make sure you keep in touch with your agent if you have issues or questions after you get it.

Hi everyone ! I just ordered my first freedom wig and I'm so excited! I pray it is worth the investment. I am looking for some honest feedback based on experience. How long does one last if taken care of well, worst and best case number of years?
Thanks for sharing your experience!

For any Canucks in the group I just wanted to pass on that the Canadian Alopecia Areata Foundation is hosting a Dinner and dance fundraiser on Valentine's day.   You can visit their site at www.canaaf.org for ticket details.
