Jackie, so sorry to hear of your mom passing. I will be praying for God's comfort for you and your family.
Nicole, thanks for website. I have been using shea moisture products. So far, I like them. I signed up for Carols Daughter newsletter and I have a membership, but have not purchased anything as of yet. Waiting to use all of my shea moisture products first.
I've been Vitamin E as well. I thought about the teatree oil as well. If I try I will let you know. So sorry for your loss.
Regarding scalp care I've been using Vitamin E oil after my shave and alcohol wipe. I'm wondering if teatree oil might help with the inflamed bumps. Also taking oregano oil might be helpful too.
Well, I need to get off and go shave. I'm off to another experience--a funeral where I'll see folks I've not seen since forever. I'm tempted to wear a covering, both as an avoidance AND as a protection from the cold. It's overcast out and the air is rather cold coming through the door. However, I looked at the forecast and it says 77. So I guess I'll take another bold step into the world that awaits me!
Have a great day ladies! :D
Moonflower, I think you should start an event entitled "Dancing..."
It would be a great AA event! :D
I LOVE it!!! *o* "Dancing In The Mirror" That would be a good title for a book! :D
I too find myself in the mirror a lot more. Initially, just to get use to, accept, and learn to embrace it. (Angela, I grew up being told to "get out the mirror and quit primpin' because I didn't look no better... ") I must say the unsolicited compliments have played a big part. I've been told my energy of freedom and confidence elicits the response, but I'm not sure which comes first 'the chicken or the egg' *o* I'm just grateful that experience has been a whole lot more gratifying than I imagined. I've been telling people after while they're going to have to stick a pin in my bare head to deflate it!
Moonflower, good for you! I do the same thing, always in the mirror. Which was not my style at all! I grew up and was told every other day that I was not beautiful, so I avoided the mirrors and now I look at one every chance I get! So you keep dancing in the mirror and just know that I am dancing with you!
MsE, they took it off the market in January 2012, you can google it. They found prescription drugs or something like that in them. It was a list of drugs they took off the market in January.
My episodes are pimple like with puss and are very painful to the touch. Once the episode is over, hair falls out with it. My episode last for about 3 days or so. When I was first told I had alopecia, my doctor told me once I start having these episodes that my hair would never grow back. Well, I have some stubble now but it falls when the episodes happen. But you know what, I am happy being bald, I'm beautiful and free!
