If you or someone you love has Alopecia, don’t go through this experience alone. There may not be a medical cure for the condition but there is healing for your heart and mind and friends nearby who care.http://sisterslivinwithalopecia-com.webs.com/

I went for my first photoshoot with my new "do" today, and the photographer and make-up artist may have created a monster! I think I've found my new alter ego! :D
Between being sleepy (and the eyelashes) I'm sitting here barely able to see the screen :D
Thanks Brenda.
You'd might hesitate, but you'd do it anyway! *o*
As Joyce Meyer says "Do it afraid" :D
Anyway, I'm AROUND--right here. That's what this is all about isn't it? Are you on facebook?
Thanks Themba and Moonflower. (:
I had another similar experience yesterday while attending an outdoor jazz event. A woman seated in front of me with her daughter and grandson turned around and told me "You're WEARING that look!" I told her thank you. She went on to tell me how my energy exudes courage, power and femininity. Then her daughter started talking about how sistah's don't compliment one another enough when they see beauty in one another. :D
When I left they threw me kisses! (:
Wow... who ever thought such a potentially "shameful" experience could/would bring so much POSITIVE attention and validation!
Before this is over you might have to poke a pin in my head to deflate it, and cover it up! *o*
I think this experience is bringing to the forefront and unleashing an area of my life I've actually resisted for some time now, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I'll share a blog on that later.
Have a wonderful Monday ladies!
WOW! This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, at the end of the conversation she did ask me what made me decide to wear the shaved look. When I told her Alopecia, she said "well God have you a head and face which doesn't need any hair" and she started singing India Arie's "I Am Not My Hair" :D
She was wearing a wig, and I wondered if she might have an issue with hairloss herself.
I had one of the most uplifting experiences today!
When walking into a restaurant to meet my godson, a woman already seated spoke to me. I smiled and spoke back trying to place her face. She told me "You don't know me, but you just walked in here looking so bright and regal I just had to say something to you" :D
Before she and her dining partner left she came to our table and told me "I just have to tell you again how beautiful you look, and how you just walked in here like you owned it!"
Wow! I've been flying all day. :D
Here's another one:
