If you or someone you love has Alopecia, don’t go through this experience alone. There may not be a medical cure for the condition but there is healing for your heart and mind and friends nearby who care.http://sisterslivinwithalopecia-com.webs.com/

I guess you could say I've got a wild hair (you know where)! :DI've been ranting and raving since I received the following e-mail earlier this evening:"Here's a question for you -- did you really cut…Continue

Hi beautiful ladies! I’ve FINALLY done it!Since August, gradually I started going out in public without a wig/hat. I found that it was easy to do this when going to a place where I knew no one i.e.…Continue

Hey Brenda!
Thanks for your vote.:D
I host an internet radio program which addresses issues related to foster care and would like to dedicate an episode to Alopecia.
Is there anyone here who experienced Alopecia as a child in foster care?
I'm also interested in interviewing those who developed Alopecia as adults, whether having experienced foster care or not.
I can be contacted at Ms.E@forachildsheart.org
Please feel free to share this with others!
Thank you! (:
Did that "little birdie" tell you if I posted my photos in the right place??? :D
I wanted to submit one in my favorite color--purple, but on this "back up" computer I somehow messed up the download and have been unable to get it right. Oh well, everything happens for a reason.
So where are all the "Sisters"?! *o*
Brenda, reading your comment, I was thinking we all have probably gone through the different phases--I know I sure have--perhaps for different periods of time and maybe even in different order. I'm even wondering now how long will this phase last. Regardless of how long, I'm sure it's been the most FREEING!
Regarding the First Lady's speech, I'll just say SHE is the one that got her hubby's vote from me the first time! :D
A few times I've been told I resemble her, but I guess now with the new "do" that probably won't come up again! :D
Because I've been having computer problems I've not been here since I last posted. My computer has been in for repair twice and still not operable. So now I'm using an older computer I've not used in two years, and which in addition to being SLOW doesn't have any of my updated files, or contacts.
I miss it here. ): I see there's not been much activity though.
Thanks Moon and Sisters... for your commments on my blog.
I'm very disappointed because the month is 1/2 over and I've not submitted anything for my blog, and upon accessing my e-mail account to which this site is connected today, I see I missed the International Alopecia Day video.): Oh well...
Hopefully, I'll be able to access the photo files to still submit for the calendar.
I've been kinda bombed out the past week, as it seems sooo many things have been pullling at and blocking me in many different areas. I started to put on my purple "Grumpy" dwarf shirt today but remembered according to my godfather, I can't be grateful and grumpy at the same time. If he were still here, I might beg to differ with him today.
Anyway, onward and upward.
On a positive note, one of my "head highlights" was, when I went to pick up my sister (who has Down Syndrome) from her day program last Friday, the bus driver who is usually very tight mouthed, got off the bus, walked to my car and said "Excuse me, I just have to tell you you have a perfect head" :D
Got a little late start, but I'm dedicating my blog to Alopecia Awareness this month. Please read and subscribe to follow me here:
