I have yet to walk out the house bald or with a scarf. I wouldn't mine wearing a nice pretty scarf. I think that wearing a scarf would be the first step for prior to going out bald. My goal is to take some glamour shots bald.
Ys I'm watching the First Lady speech. I am so happy Obama passed the health care plan because my son has an congential heart defect too. This was like a blessing to me and my baby.
Brenda, I think it's the freedom that we feel and we cannot stop looking at ourselves because we are soooo BEAUTIFUL!!! LOL
Interestingly, I'm "allowing" myself to go out "bare" with 3-days of stubble today. *~* I've tended to feel I need for it to be "flawless" if I'm going to wear it. But I need to go to the store and don't feel like shaving or covering today.
I guess that means either I'm getting comfortable or careless (:
(Watch, today will be the day I run into someone I've not seen in some time :)
I LOVE it Brenda!!! :D
Did you tell him he can come over ANYtime?! (:
Regarding dermatologists, perhaps as individuals keep going someone will hit the jackpot.
The very first one I went to (over 30 years ago)scraped my scalp with a 'tongue depressor" and told me my hair follicles were being blocked by the oil I placed on my scalp, and that I needed to wash my hair like twice a day or something crazy.
A couple of years later I went to Dr. Greta Clarke, and African American female (who since has been featured in Essence Magazine) who ran some blood tests, etc. and told me basically it was probably just heriditary and there wasn't anything medically she could identify or prescribe.
Condolences Jackie.
I know 4 people/families who lost their mothers in the past week and a half. Be sure to have a support group and/or resource in place to deal with the different phases of grief you may experience.
Hey Bumblebee...for your nails you may want to stop getting acrylics because they actually ruin your nails in the long run. Try doing the gel sets. It's much softer and less harsh on the nails.
