Dotty...Your head tats are AWESOME!! I have arm tats and have always WANTED to tat my dome. Did it hurt? Do All tat places do dome tatting??? I have eyebrows that are tatted, but that is all on my head. Cant wait to hear your response!

THank you SO much for the e-mail. I look forward to our friendship. Its been over 20 years since I lost my hair. So long ago, in fact, I have forgotten all the pain involved with loosing it. I have never had any regrowth at all. In fact the only thing I really miss?? Is my eyelashes. I had the most luscious thick long eyelashes. The emotional scars have healed their best. I am a beautiful bald woman. And to be honest looking at all of the beautiful people on this site? Makes me feel even stronger. I am loved. We are all loved. For exactly who we are.
I will now check out different places in my area for a head tat and start with a little baby one. See how it goes from there!

Hey Dotty, That is great news about Kristin. I hope she makes a speedy recovery...Samantha's treatment is starting to work as she has patching brown hairs coming in. We saw the doctor today and we are going up to two treatments a week now..I so hope she can have her by the end of the year. Still waiting for her new wig from the kids club. Yes! I love tattoos! oh and i absolutely LOVE your head its soo colorful and I like the celtic part as well! this is something Im def going to have to do!!!! I think I can handle the pain if it did hurt anyways, its no fun without a little pain right hehe!
Thanks for the sweet comment! Delaney is soo wonderful! Actually she is going through this colic thing where she crys none stop for the entire day but she sure is beautiful even with the crys! She makes the FUNNIEST faces ever! o my! and sometimes inbetween her cries she gives me a sweet little smile and it melts my heart! I love being a mommy its soo great!

The weekend of the 13th works well for us. Is it for kids? Alyssa is 8. I can hopefully leave my 4 year old at home with dh. If it is just for adults that is fine but I don't have alopecia.

I don't tell people about Sam's AA and she was outside playing with the water with her friend and the throwing a disk around and her headband came off and not only did the friend see, but my neighbor and I am freaking out. She wore her wig all day and took it off when we got home to play outside...School starts Wed and now I am panicking that this girl will say something on the bus, etc. We are neighbors..Cindy

Right now the 13th sounds fine. I would prefer Vinny Ts or Cheesecake factory since they have kids meals. We went by your town the other week since we took RT 16 to Storyland. At the moment Alyssa's alopecia is very minimal.

Hi Dotty, that works fine for me..If you tell me where your convention is I maybe able to help you. But, the only cheesecake factory I know of is in Copley. You can let people know that if they park in the prudential lost and spend at least 5.00 in any store in the pru center they can get their parking ticket validated for a discounted rate. Also, for those who may want to walk around Boston you can park under the boston commons for all day rate of 10.00. It is a nice walk to copley from their. about 15-20 min walk, but it goes fast and you walk Newbury Street and cut over to the pru. Let me know if I can be of any help. I go to boston all the time..

Dotty, I talked to my husband and the Art Center is in the Theater District so it is a bit further from things, but no far either. You can find parking garages that are all day flat rates of 10.00. I personally like the commons will park there if it is nice so I can spend the day downtown and be in the center of everything. You can always take the T to travel around if you find the walking too much. They run every few seconds...The only other thing I could suggest would be meeting in Fanieul Hall. There is a Cheers and it is kid friendly and the kids will enjoy the street shows and families can walk around. There is also a Joe's Amneican Bar and Grill on the Warf which is nice on a warm day. If you get a head count and call ahead maybe they could set up a big table for the group. If you need help with making some calls i am happy to help if you give me a head count..Cindy

Thank you Dotty!. I was just looking at your pictures.. and WOW... what a great example you are!!! I don't know you.. but thank you for showing me this all can be ok... I am still having a hard time with this.. I try to cover up my weakness with it, and be strong.. but really it is so hard for me.. I think I am getting better everyday. and I am so happy I have this support now.. YES!!!! My husband has been a great support to me. I fear everyday that he will just up and leave... because not only do I have this problem, but because I got such bad postpartum depression after my son was born last year, I was put on Zoloft, that caused me to gain about 45 lbs within 2 months... SO the joke I say to him.. is I can't believe he is still here loving me being BALD and FAT... :) :) SO I am very lucky to have him... and now I am so much more lucky that I found this site.
