Single retired 55 yr old living in Georgia...mom of 3 grown men and 3 awesome grandchildren! I've had AA since the age of 8 on and off and just recently lost it all again! It doesn't define who I am but I am looking for a support group and hopefully some new friends.

Hey Gail,

I am new to this group and fairly new to AW. Believe it or not...I am just coming out about my baldness at age 61. I have had mine since I was about 5 years old. I had a regrowth period (although it was thin) that allowed me to go without a wig for about 7 years but when I became pregnant with my first son...I lost it all again. :( 

I lived on Tybee Island in GA from 2010 to 2016 and now found myself back here in cold central PA near 3 of my 4 adorable grandchildren. 

I love to get back to Tybee to visit (or potentially live again) as often as I can. I am wondering how close you are to Savannah? I'm guessing you are near Atlanta? 

I plan to stay more closely connected with Alopecia World so I would love to hear from you. The acid treatments you were doing sound interesting.

Hi Gail, I know what you mean, I want mine back yesterday too. I am continuing with the treatment although I was devastated when it all fell out again. I also have strands here and there and some nubby stuff here and there, not totally smooth. What strength are you using?
