Hi Im Natalie....
At the age of 10 I had AA then it returned when i was 16 then 18, at that point in time cortisone cream treated my bald spots. Then from the age of 21 - 23 I was beginning to lose all of my hair, extremely scary.
I tried naturopaths, dermotoligist, hynotherapy, chinese herbs and tablets and steroid injections, with little or no results, there was no way i could beat alopecia, since July 2010 I have had AU there has been many ups and downs but Ive invested in a freedom wig and its amazing, so hello to all my fellow alopecians

Hi I'm Natalie

I am 25yo old and I have Alopecia Universalis for many years I've had to hide my alopecia, for the reason that not many people are aware of the condition, so I would like to raise awareness about the condition and raise some funds for the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation AAAF.

Hi everyone,

Just a funny story ill tell you, that actually made me proud to be bald and beautiful and have alopecia

I joined a online chat room thing on my iphone, and a guy asked if we could exchange pictures, he then proceeded to send me a pic, which was disgusting and horrible - below the waist of course naked.... eeewwww i dont want to see that.

So i said to him im going to send you a pic of myself bare naked

Every day i think if only???? If only i had hair

If only, would my life be different

If only, i would be treated different in this society

If only, I could have normal relationships

This constant thought of if only..... brings this aching pain that i am unable to shake

I have felt over the past few months out of it, i wish i had my hair.... i ask my mum why wont my hair grow, i ask my mum in a playful yet sad way.... and considering i am now 24..... i understand why…

I have a Freedom wig too. There great!! Yes, we have 4 kiddies now. My hair feel out during my 3 pregnancy, so going on 4 yrs now with AU. I know how you feel but it does get better even more so when you have a lovely wig to wear. And yes there are men out there that will love you not matter what. I guess i am very lucky we have been together for 13 yrs now married 12 in oct. He's stuck by me through it all depression, hair loss, etc... you just hve to find the right one and don't waste your time on the bad one's. hope to chat soon
