Hi Shanna, are you still able to get Xeljanz for free thru your insurance company? If not, have you considered getting it for FREE thru Pfizer's Hardship Program? Call Xelsource to see if you qualify. There is no yearly limit, I think you can make up to $5,000 per month and still qualify. In the meantime, you look good in your wigs or shaved. Take care. You were my inspiration before I started Xeljanz and I hope you will grow your hair back for good this time. Valeri
I did try to get my prescription from a rheumatologist first. She was a wonderful, very compassionate doctor. When I started crying about wanting my hair back I saw her struggle to hold back her tears. But since she was unfamiliar with Xeljanz she referred me to UCSF in San Francisco, where they were familiar with Kyle Rhodes and his treatment with Xeljanz. I'm on week 3 and haven't seen any progress yet but I'm VERY HOPEFUL! I have had AU since 2009 so I can wait patiently for the Xeljanz to kick in. But following your good example, I will start taking Biotin and increase my intake of protein.
