has anybody ever had this done,as it can pick up on minerals etc lack of.or overload that can cause hair loss. would be interesting to know. sharonContinue

Hi could anyone enlighten me, do you gain weight, have low libido erractic menstrual cycles,and fatigue with alopecia.because I am certainly sure you don't. because I have all these and my doctors fob me off saying its alopecia. me personaly think it is hypothyroid, or possibly coming off the contraceptive pill 3 years ago and hormonal.this is when I started to lose my hair. I still have hair but its like a patch work quilt underneath.it started to get better not sure if it was the evening…

just had a call today the 22nd june from my docter to say my zinc is low,after 6mths and hardley any hair left,dosent it really make you think the medical side,lets just hope now with zinc it brings my hair back.

hey there Sharon, howz you and what's the progress with your hairloss now? Do you feel better since you went for the shave? I got mine clippered again 2 weeks ago as I was beginning to look like a mad scientist with all the straggly bits *chuckles* It feels so much better now it's the same all over :) So this week it's off to look at my wig stylist's new catalogues for choosing my next wig! kinda exciting... hugs shO :) x

Hi Sharon, yes I ended up shaving all mine off too! I haven't got much to speak of now though, starting to lose my eyebrows, arm and leg hair now. Not that I'm bothered by the latter. I hope your coping with the huge adjustment that aplopecia throws into your life. Take care Becs :)
