Last week, Karen Peterik from
New Life Hair came to my house to talk about the Vacuum Sealed Freedom Wigs. She was amazing. Talking with her was really great. She was so helpful. We decided to hold off for a little while. I am still starting out with this whole process (5+ weeks) and am having patches of regrowth. I am still having new patches develop, but some new regrowth. But, those hairpieces were AMAZING! So light and natural. I could not beleive how beautiful that hair was. If this keeps progressing, I will definitely consider ordering from her. She helped me with some of the other issues that I was concerned about as well. EYEBROWS!! My eyebrows were all over the place. I didn't really have any idea how to properly draw on eyebrows. Apparantly, I had 'sad eyebrows'. HA! They didn't have enough of an arch and went down to far at the ends. Did you know that there were eyebrow rules?!? I didn't! She introduced me to eyebrow stencils from 'Christian'. They come with three different size stencils: thick, thin, and natural. I am using the 'dark brown' powder with the thin stencils. The kit comes with the powder, the stencils, and a brush to apply them. I'm still working on getting the proper placement with them, but they are SOOOO much easier. I definitely recommend them. I'm not quite sure where you can get them from (I got them from her), but I'd check Ulta.
She also told me about
Bobbi Brown's Long Wear Gel Eyeliner. This stuff is AMAZING and makes it look like I have eyelashes!! It stays on all day...no smuduges, no streaking, no fading, totally waterproof, totally amazing. I even rubbed my eyes and it didn't come off!! WHAT?!? I am using the Sepia Ink color. We found it at Macy's, but I'm sure that other department stores will carry it. I asked the make-up consultant to how to wear it and she demonstrated it for me. She showed me her eyes and told me that she had been wearing it since 5:30 am (it was 8:00 pm)...it looked perfect. SOLD! When I wear it, you can't tell that I don't have eyelashes...even when you are looking close-up. Pictures will come soon on the eyebrows and the eyeliner. But, I wanted to tell you guys that Karen and New Life Hair is AMAZING...and that there are some really cool options for eyebrows and eyeliner.
