stupid people

Well last night I had to deal with my first stupid person. I went to the neighborhood pub last night with a couple of friend who have know me forever. Well Ive been in this bar a couple of time since Ive got my wig and mostly everybody knew about it and noone really cares. I live in a little county where everyone knows everyone and if you dont, you know someone who knows everyone. Well there was this old guy there who asked me if I was dying of cancer and I had to ask him why he thought that. He told me that those guys over there said I was wearing a wig. I told him I was and told him about the whole AA thing. I said if some one wanted to know then why didnt they just ask, and If you dont know, where have you been because it is old news. I go up to the guys and say yep you know what I am wearing a wig and I wanted to explain to them about it but the one guy named Tom was an ass. He felt the need to tell me that he could tell I was wearing a wig and I should have bought a better one and I was ugly any way. I was like is this guy serious and he was. It did hurt but everyone else there was on my side and said that I was a beautiful girl. So instead of me putting a beer mug through this guys forhead and going to jail. I decided to be more of an adult than 40 something year old Tom and blog about in hopes of helping someone younger relize that instead of having AA we could be stupid and nonhuman like Tom Albright who lives in Valley Staion Kentucky with his Grandma.

Ha! Good for you, girlfriend! Tom must need glasses or something because you are so pretty and your wig looks great too! You are definetly the better person for having such a great attitude and handling yourself with grace and integrity.

That has happened to me so many times...yet when it does happen I still have to sit there and really question if someone can be so rude and inconsiderate. And, yes they are!!! Sorry! I honestly think someone like that is just a very unhappy person and needs to push that off on others to TRY and make themself feel better.

I am continually amazed by how insensitive people can be! Is it not often the case that "those types of people" are lashing out to try and compensate for their own shortcomings? I wonder what Tom's big chip on his shoulder could be from? Does he have below average intelligence? Perhaps he is self conscious about his undeveloped body parts? Maybe he secretly has a crush on you?!!

Either way, you handled the situation very well. You demonstrated a great deal of maturity and restraint. Shake it off, he's useless!

There are sooo many stupid people out there, it is amazing how people react to someone elses problems, like they dont want to face there own issues they have to try and make others feel horrible about themselves when really it justs makes them look like an idiot! I give you props for handling yourself with such grace! Im not sure if I could do the same... Id a prob hit him with the mug or kicked him in the nuts!
Anyways I like your attitude! Its great!

Im Casey by the way... Ive been between AT and AA for about 10 years now, been trying realy hard to accept it still... Its a work in progress...
