Was trying not to get too hopeful, but....

So I was sitting around watching tv last night and I ran my hand over my head (I love the way it feels shaved!) and realized the bald spots didn't feel so bald... I bolted up off the couch and ran to the mirror (haven't been looking in the mirror much lately) and lo and behold...not my whole head, but MOST of it is covered with a thin layer of white hair! Wooooo!!! Not like before with a white hair here and there...but actual white hair filling in spots! Now, it's hard to tell when it's white, but I'm pretty sure it isn't filling in as full as it should...but it's fun to see something happening! It's kinda funny to have this happening AFTER I decided to abandon all treatments I was doing. Well anyway...I was trying to not be too hopeful before to avoid any let-downs, but I can't help but feel hopeful now. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

It's funny how sometimes you need to make a step towards accepting your alopecia before anything seems to happen. I had nothing for years and years and now when I've suddenly started a support group and wanting to help other people like me that everything is slowly making an appearance. I almost have a whole eyebrow now!! LMAO :)

Hey Mandy,

I've had the same white fuzz since the begining of the year, I would say it is 40-50% of what was there last July when I got my 1st patch. hard to say for sure.

Good Luck,

Jeff

It's amazing how the stressful burden of focusing on AA can sometimes inhibit our regrowth!!! I'm so happy for you!!! Please keep us posted!!!

I had the same white hair after my AU and At...now it's dark and I have to trim it on the sides...and it's even started a little on the top of the scalp. I'm with you!!!
