I was in town today, hitting the post-chrissie sales with my dad. I wore one of my pretty triangle scarves. We stopped for coffee and sat outside. Amoung the many people walking past was a family with a little girl in a pink dress who kept staring at me. Little Girl said the best thing ever. "Is that a pirate?".
Then she walked into a post. Which was only funny because she wasn't hurt.

But I love that, the kid logic. Scarf = Pirate. Completely awesome.

OMG... this is hilarious! You'll never forget that. I have a pirate story for ya... my 4 year old niece, Bella, walks up to a pimp on Halloween in her princess Bell costume, and randomly says, "where's your gold tooth?" lol She mistook the pimp for a pirate like from pirates in the carribean. I thought it was priceless.

That little girl and your sharing it with us made me laugh and I NEEDED that. When you really think about it, the most judgmental people out there are ourselves! We all see each other differently... I think we could take some lessons from our younger generations.

This is cute, I also liked Julie Koch's reply, I am the worse for judging myself...
I just need to know more out of interest, how did the family respond lol can part imagine them goshing at the child, not realising it has made a few peoples day, yours and ours for reading it :)

I agree totally with Julie as well. We're all our worst critics.
I'm not really sure, KFlame, what the family did because they walked away. Also because I was laughing so hard. :P I hope they didn't scold her - she's brilliant in my oppinion.
