so some of you know, i HATE my boss & shes a big, huge mean-girl! so anyways... im really thinking about changing jobs so i dont have to deal with her anymore, but im afraid of what will happen when i walk into an interview either a) bald as the day i was born, b) wearing a scarf, or c) in a wig, then show up to work bald & they think i "hid" it from them... btw... i DESPISE wigs! WAY too much maintanance for me, plus, i have 2 year old who was actually afraid of my last wig. lol. ugh... kinda feels good just to vent on here... its the only place i feel like people ACTUALLY understand me! haha

I think that honesty is the best policy. I recently had an interview and I wore my usual scarf and hat combo. The interview was going great and I felt comfortable with the person, so I just told them about alopecia. Now I will admit that I did not get the job, but I do not think it was because of my appearance. It feels good to just tell people instead of wondering what they are thinking.

Well I went bald at work for the first time after 8 1/2 years & although my management didn't like it(mainly because they didn't understand why I just didn't keep wearing a wig after learning that I don't have cancer) they could not fire me legally- & I've also experienced going into a interview recently bald- I can say if your confident then they follow your lead & forget about it. Priority is you being comfortable- everyone else gets to.
