so i went to visit my parents for a week with the baby & was pleasantly suprised about how easy it was going thru the airport security! no one even hesitated with me wearing my bandana.
as for memorial day weekend, i chickened out, again... i dont know what its going to take for me to actully go thru with shaving my head. its just such a huge step. i know it would be nice to stop obsessing about my hair so much, but its REALLY hard! my husband keeps joking that hes going to do it while im sleeping. lol. as for jayven, she says she likes my "holes in my hair". kids are too cute. lol

Hiya Jen - don't beat y'self up cos you didn't go through with the Big Deed. You probably did everyone a favour, actually... Memorial Day sounds much more laid back than Razor Day! :) .... although it woulda been extremely memorable for you anyway!!
Nah, you'll do it when you do it. Then, as with so many things in life, you'll wonder what the big deal was and why you took so long.... :)

Hi Jen,

don't push yourself so hard. The time will come when you are ready to shave your head. It will happen in due time. Just word of advise. as you can see I'm a head shaver (i've been doing it for the last 3 months) get yourself a headblade. I struggled to shave my head for almost the entire time until someone suggested that i get a headblade and it is WOW and the products are great. It is easy to use and mush quicker then with a razor. I hope to welcome you soon as a headshaver.

God Bless you and be strong

Jennifer, there is nothing wrong with baby steps. You will know when you are ready. Your husband and daughter sound really cute! You definitely have the support from your family, that is amazing.

jayven must be very cute....I have never heard alopeica areata referred to as "holes in your hair"..LOL
Summertime is the best time for the BIG SHAVE, you will feel so much cooler and comfortable and
everyone will accept it easier.

i LOVE having people here who understand! it makes it all so much easier! some of you know about my "mean-girl" boss... well im losing more hair in the back & even she is starting to comment about the loss, so hopefully soon she will be begging me to shave it so i dont look like a drowned rat anymore! lol

Your daughter sounds adorable.
Don't beat yourself up, when you are ready to shave your head then you'll do it. Maybe you can start by cutting it short. It's all about baby steps......and sometimes they are very very small steps.

i already cut it to about chin length & that helped a lot with covering the spots, but now the back is about gone. im just tired of obsessing over it! lol

So Jen, are you saying that the hair you cut off is now superglued into your spots??... whoo, where do you get these ideas from... :)
Don't worry about the back.... if anyone asks what's going on there, tell them you're like a convertible car - you're the sports model, and you've got the roof down. If nothing else, they'll back slowly away and never trouble you again :)

Hugs! N xx
