First wig consultation today
Well,
It didn't go exactly as planned.
I absolutely loved this place, the guy helping me, and hair he had...but definitely not his prices. He measured me, got the color I wanted, I was actually feeling ok for once about all this...then slapped me with a $4,000 bill. I caught my breath, then told him I had to hold off. I couldn't even sell my car for that if I wanted. =/
My insurance offered to pay for $100 worth of it which really doesn't help. As discouraged as it made me, I just gotta keep looking for different options. They can't all be this expensive. Can they?
I defiantly know I want human hair and really want European. I know those are the more expensive choices in the wig world, but I fear if I get something that I don't love, I won't feel comfortable wearing it and I don't want to waste money on another. I am now unemployed, so can't exactly save money. A bit of a stressful predicament.
The guy was extremely helpful and compassionate. He had remembered a wig he had started for someone else that didn't work out to her ideal so he said he was going to look for it in their storage and offer me a discounted price, but that is IF he could find it. He was also giving me the discount he normally gives cancer patients. I knew he was trying to help as much as possible, but even discounted it's going to be $2 +
Well I'm gonna keep looking. and hope to find something to work at a price that wont kill me.

Check out Lori'sWigs. They customize and add drmafix so you won't need tape or adhesive

Well my problem is I have the patchy kind so I don't have the tape possibility. My little hairs stop that. My little hairs grow really quick, but don't stay in for long lol If I shaved I would have to shave like every day in spots. And I don't have enough long hair in all places for clips so I kinda gotta have a super custom one.
I will definitely check those out though! Thanks guys

I would never pay $2000 for an old, rejected wig stuffed in some box somewhere. Actually I have and it was beat, so I speak from experience! Sounds like this guy was trying to squeeze you for all you're worth, and is now trying to get whatever he can from you!

Don't fall for his "compassion." You can get a great virgin european human hair wig online for under $500. Message me and I will give you the sites. My daughter tapes them on and her hair is growing back. She cuts the tape to be thin and puts the wig on just in front of her hairline. Measuring your head is easy, get a friend to help. My daughter's wigs are gorgeous. People stop her when we our out in public to tell her what beautiful hair she has. She just smiles and says thanks.

Hey Lindsay, I just requested you as a friend also. I saw that you were from Chattsworth and thought it was GA which is just down the road from us. lol. would still love to be friends. I have actually been to Chatsworth, CA:)
