Well my Dr. called me and said antibodies were found in my thyroid. I am not exactly sure what this means so I was wondering if any of you had any knowledge about it.

My Dr. is talking with an endocrinologist about the next steps to take before I go in to see him, but I am impatient. I have been googling as best as I can but I like person experience from people with aa.

I want to understand as best as I can if this means my hair might come back.

Hey guys. Just curious on everyone's level of itching. My head itches like CRAZY when the hair falls out. normally skin itches when hair grows in right? Anyone know why?
I stopped going to the dermatologist after 4 rounds of injections. I felt it did more harm than good for me. I am not a fan of chemicals being blasted into my head and it didn't seem to make the hair grow back. but doctorless, I'm left with a ton of questions about this condition.

One shower and Poof! There went all the rest of my hair! Omg it was scary how much just came out at once! It has been a slow process up until now! This was frightening and a tad sickening. A year of AA and you get used to a lot of hair coming out all the time, but this was....disgusting. =/

I officially can't wear the wig I just spent so much money on because it clips to hair...now there is not enough to clip to...Anyone on here who still has hair want to buy a wig? lol

Well when I bought my wig, I asked the guy how to care for and clean them and he wouldn't tell me. He just told me to bring it back to him and pay $30 every time I need it washed....Well that's not going to happen because that's a lot of money that will add up, and he is about an hours and a half from me....So I am having to google my way around figuring how to keep this thing nice.

It didn't go exactly as planned.

I absolutely loved this place, the guy helping me, and hair he had...but definitely not his prices. He measured me, got the color I wanted, I was actually feeling ok for once about all this...then slapped me with a $4,000 bill. I caught my breath, then told him I had to hold off. I couldn't even sell my car for that if I wanted. =/
