Shampoo, conditioner, and techniques

Hey guys,
Well when I bought my wig, I asked the guy how to care for and clean them and he wouldn't tell me. He just told me to bring it back to him and pay $30 every time I need it washed....Well that's not going to happen because that's a lot of money that will add up, and he is about an hours and a half from me....So I am having to google my way around figuring how to keep this thing nice.
So any advice you guys have I would GREATLY appreciate it =)
Best brands and types of products. Techniques. All that jazz
I have read around on some of the old post that they prefer the type of conditioner that is placed in the sink of water vs. the spray kind. Any and all information on the subject welcome =)

Order with credit card and have it mailed to you. Some have shampoo and conditioner combined for synthetic wigs.

I use wig shampoo & conditioner called Brandywine. I ordered some online from... http://www.headcovers.com/wigs/wig-accessories/. I have only synthetic wigs and that is what I have used since I started wearing wigs. I bought a gallon bucket then filled it with water, put 2 or 3 tablespoons of the shampoo then let my wig soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse it out, put 2 or 3 tablespoons of the conditioner then let the wig soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Then I would rinse that out, and let the wig soak for the same amount of time again. I would lay it on a towel for a few hours then once the excess water is gone, hang it upside down to dry overnight. I read this on one of the cards that came with one of my wigs so I have been doing it like that ever since.

I used shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. I usually use redkin shampoo, and Biolage conditioner. Expensive, but they last forever cause you only wash once a wk. I fill the sink with warm water, and a drop of shampoo. Put the wig in there, and lift it up and down. Rinse, then condition. Be careful not to let too much conditioner get on the cap of the wig. Then I rise with cool water.

I use John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Hydrating shampoo & conditioner on my human hair wigs (and have been doing so for 7 years). They have a relatively high glycerin content which I find to be the best on mine. I've tried more expensive brands (salon brands and products specifically made for wigs), but this is my favorite by far.

Well before I read all this unfortunately, I went to a beauty store to see what they had to say. I ended up getting a shampoo and conditioner from Bioken; infinite moisture natural remedy.it's a vegan line of products. Sulfate free, nano color protection, and it says it has no paraben dea alcohol in it. I am not sure what that is but alcohol is dehydrating so I'm guessing its a good thing there isn't any in it. Has anyone heard of this stuff?
I need a good after finish moisture shine spray or something. It didn't come out as soft as I was hoping =/
Although nothing I buy is going to be as good as an expensive salon treatment I fear.
Any good products to protect the ends? Keep them from splitting easily?
