i went in bald yesterday and it was GREAT! my boss being like she is kinda helped me to accept myself a lot faster than i would have wearing a scarf. not like that was her intention... its pissing her off that she isnt getting a reaction from me! lol... i really like the feeling of being bald & i have a bubbly personality, so ive been told i pull it off like its in style! wish i did it a lot sooner! just hope i can find a new job with a boss who doesnt care if i have hair or not.

Yeah!!!!! You did exactly the right thing, and I think you're probably right that this unfortunate situation has helped you move along this process of acceptance faster. Bullies and people with small minds hate not getting a reaction. Congratulations!

I'm loving the way this is panning out... Jen, I'm so pleased for ya!!
Now, if you wanna turn up the Boss Annoyance Factor a leeetle higher, get yourself a T-shirt printed that says "My Hair Is In The Wash", and another saying "Hair In Shop Pending Warranty Claim". Or you could try "This Head Intentionally Left Blank". If she's still giving you grief, throw her a curve and say "Look, it's simple - I wasn't happy with it, so I've sent it back and I'm waiting for a replacement."

I have some shirts I had printed that say "Yes, I'm bald...get over it!" On the back, they say "No Hair, No Problem".

Or, you could get an International Alopecia Day T-shirt. (See International Alopecia Day Group on AW for more info.)
