I finally had the courage to shave the rest of my hair off.It has taken me a long time ,but after getting out the shower the other morning all of a sudden i said to my husband todays the day ,i am ready to take it off.I feel better now looking in the mirror i do have regrowth from steroid injections, and i am hopefull that my hair will come back. I feel that i have to look for the positive in all this turmoil, maybe god is teaching me patience, tolerance , kindness, to others? ummmm think i just answered that question. No matter what i am grateful that it is not life threatning as i have two wee girls and i am here for them.I love my life and i love myself.I wish all my Alopecia Family the very best life they can lead.

Thank you so much for everyones input. Its. Funny how things work out sometimes, since shAving the rest off I have also told more people about my condition, I asked them to keep me in prayer I don't feel embaressed or ashamed Any more so I know I have come a long way in 8 months. For the people who are struggling all I can say is it will get better. Love to All my Alopecia Family Clare x

Well done - It is a year since I did the same.
I felt it was the most liberating thing I'd done in ages.
Instead of watching my hair fall out and getting upset I took back the control into my own hands and just got on with life.
Good luck

Congratulations Three years ago right now I was on the fence. Check out the pics of me the night before I shaved and the day after: http://www.alopeciaworld.net/photo/photo/listForContributor?xg_pw=&...

I felt SO much better, and haven't looked back. I went from crying all the time picking up more and more hair off the floor and sink, to feeling in control. Good luck

I AM IN BETWEEN ABOUT SHAVING OR NOT SHAVING MY HEAD. I HAVE ALOT OF NOTICEABLE BALD SPOTS, BUT I ALSO HAVE ALOT OF SMALL BALD SPOTS THAT MY HAIR COVERS AND EVENTUALLY THOSE SMALL SPOTS BECOME LARGE ONES. I REALLY WANT TO SHAVE, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I AM GOING TO BE EMOTIONALLY READY TO HAVE NO HAIR AT ALL.
