My 5th anniversary with alopecia

Hi All,

Just thought I'd write a little something today.
It will be 5 years tomorrow since I found that first little bald spot on my head.
Yes it's been five years since I first thought an ember of celebrating my independence had fallen upon me. Turned out to be Alopecia.

It's been quite the journey. It was so hard at first but with the support of my family, Alopecia World and NAAF I'm happy to say that with time and support it does get easier. Of course I still have my moments of feeling annoyed and tired of this disease.
With that said,

Happy 5th Anniversary Alopecia! You can leave now!

Forty-nine years for me. Old hat now, after several rounds of this and also having AU and, at present, AT. I do not even bother talking to my alopecia spirits any more. Hope your genes can hear you!

Hiya Jeff..... happy anniversary (I think)! Glad you're not letting it get to you too much. Remember, some of us don't need hair to be good-looking and fab! (it says here...) :)

Happy Anniversary Jeff! I am celebrating the journey and obstacles you have overcome. Not only have you overcome you have also shared the journey and encourages many others after you. I know that Alopecia World, would not be the same without you. Thanks.

Thanks for all your kind words everyone!
It was a Happy Anniversary! I ended up shaving my head again. I was tired of covering up my spots on a daily basis. So it was like a re liberation!
