So, what's the consensus on using Rogaine to help with regrowth???

My dermatologist recommended I get it because where my hair is growing back, I guess it's not as full as the rest of my hair, and just for regrowth in general. I have yet to purchase any due to financial poopiness, but I'm workin' on it.

Has anyone had fabulous and fulfilling experiences with it? Do I get the woman's Rogaine or is the Men's better? Is there crazy stuff in the Rogaine that's not so great for the bod? Help me out here people! ;)

There are warnings for females who still might or want to get pregnant.

I am using rogaine right now. Is rogaine same as minoxdil? I am using minoxdil 5%. After i have been using minoxdil for a month, seem like my hair stop falling out as much. I am not seeing alot of regrowth, just a small amount. I can tell you minoxdil makes u have alot of tiny facial hair. I have facial hair around my cheeks now, but i just wax it. My dermatologist told me the only side effects are headaches, and facial hair growth. I haven't been experiencing headaches. I really think is worth a try, at least it helped me kind of stop the hair from falling. I heard you need to use minoxdil for at least 3 months to see results. Good luck to you

Sorry about your financial poop. I've used rogaine and a shampoo called Nioxin- both of which are supposed to help - but alopecia has a mind of its own. I'd say its worth a try - but perhaps looks for the generic brand (I've used the Walgreens brand) and try looking online at places like drugstore.com that sometimes have sales.

hi eva, i bought a multipack of the 5% foam in february, but only used one bottle. fortunately, i don't need it anymore. so, if you like the remaining (never opened) bottles i'd be happy to mail it to you. just send me an message with a mailing address.

Hey Eva,
I've been using Men's Rogaine Foam 5% since January and I've noticed a slight decrease in how much hair I lose every day...but only sometimes. My hair loss tends to fluctuate. Some days I only lose like 5 hairs, but other days I lose over 100. I think Rogaine helps slow down hair loss to an extent, but no more. And I haven't noticed any regrowth either.
