This is a happy and short blog.
I just felt the need to share with all my fellow alopecians that for the first time in my life, or at least all the years of having alopecia, I am happy being bald. I like what I see in the mirror and I love rubbing my head. Actually I spend alot of time rubbing my head. LOL I had spent so many years (26+years) hiding the fact that I have alopecia. Spent so many years treating (painfully treating) the hair loss, and crying. It dawned on me today that this is the first time ever that I felt this way about having no hair.
I hope that this helps some of you starting your alopecia journey, to know that hair does not determine the person you are. Appearances change throughout our lives, ever changing. Whether you decide to rock a wig, hat, scarf and/or au naturel. Enjoy your lives, have fun, and "shake it"

I've always liked being bald... never really liked my hair that much anyway! It's great to see others who're into it too. I'm working on a theory that a bald head is nature's way of giving you somewhere to put your hands when they're not busy doing anything else... :)

Tee hee. I hope I like being bald. I am soooo into low maintenance so I never really liked fussing with my hair anyhow, hence being locced for 10 years. So here's to shakin' it!!! {raises beer glass}
