Just thought I'd let today out, hope no one minds.
I've had one of "those days" I'm afraid, getting pretty tired of hearing "Oh my god...her hair... must be chemo" or "Eer, freak" being whispered where ever I am.

I was meeting a friend in the local park this afternoon, and a mum actually came a moved her kid away from the park, just staring at me, honestly!

I am sorry to say it like this but... people are STUPID!!!! I wish that there was a nice way of saying it but what it comes down to is that they just don't think. #1, if it was cancer... it's not contagious you morons... #2 if I decided to wear my hair this way.... it's not going to hurt you any. #3 before you get freaked out, figure out what you are afraid of. Do you think because I have no hair I am going to harm you or your child, like I am any less of a person than you. I just don't get it. I am very sorry to hear that you have had these experiences, I wish that there was something that I could say or do that makes it better but you should try to think of some really good responses when something like that happens..... the Mom with the kid, I would look at her and say, "oh, thank you for moving away, sitting next to me might make YOUR hair fall out too... uh oh.. better go check the mirror, I think it already has" See what she says then.. petty, yes but effective?? worth a shot, watch her immediately grab her head and go run off leaving you to sit and laugh.

Just thought that I would add.... you are absolutely STUNNING and have nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. If you look anything like your picture, I would be HONORED to be seen with you. Absolutely Beautiful.

you know if someone say something rude to you. what I will say is, do you know how it feels to lose your hair. is similar to like getting a cancer diganosis. it is very devastating~~~~~~~~ I will tell the person, I hope you will have perfect health every single day, but if one day you get sick, remember me, because that is your revenge for laughing at me. Trust me, this will for sure be stuck at their heads. OMG, I am so mean..hahahaha......

and ya, sorry Liz for your experience with that mom. people don't have manners, and they are not properly educated. I hope you feel better now.

Everybody think they are NORMaL. So when they see someone with difference, they do stare.
Don't mind that. You are YOU. You looks great. That's all.
